BILL BELICHICK! The coach of the New England Patriots, if you haven't already heard of him. Of course with all of the money craving and egotistical superstars of the NFL there are plenty of personalities to choose from but I am awarding Bill with this title because of his tasteless tactics (AKA cheating) and his very poor sportsmanship.


There are several others ahead of Bill...

Vick - for the gambling and dog stuff
Benson - drink and boat, then get busted a couple weeks later for the same thing
Chris Henry - guns, guns, more guns
Odell Thurman - drugs, drugs, drugs
Al Davis - just for being himself
Scott Norwood - even though not active, I'm guessing this is Goodell's #1 choice


While I definitely agree with the Michael Vick vote, ****hole refers to their character. And sorry for not being more clear I meant ****hole on the field not necessarily off the field although being a thug is definitely a show of character off the field. I'll let you come up with your nominee for jerk on the field and then I'll give my final reasons for why Belichick is the biggest one


Sorry you didn't specify on or off the field, and that does change how I argue.....in the NFL also does mean off the field as well, so I'm going by the title, not by a rule you changed to suit your case better.

Bellicheck may have cheated but did he do anything illegal like the guys on my list did? What about Travis Henry and his 9 kids? Bellicheck may be one but all the guys on my list are bigger ones than Bellicheck.


okay, well I wasn't trying to specify it to suit my case better so I'm sorry if thats how you feel but when I think ****hole I think character not what they are involved in legally. And even if you think your guys are bigger ****holes you give no other examples other than that they did illegal things. And not only has Belichick cheated. but he has run up the score when possible on many teams which is very unsportsman-like. and he also stormed off the field before the superbowl was over. He didnt wait for the last snap and he just left his team out their which is not what a coach is supposed to do. Therefore Belichick is lacking ethical and leadership qualities which makes him the biggest ****hole in the NFL


What they do illegally does go to character.

As for the storming off the field after the superbowl, he had already shook Coughlin's hand before the refs told him there was 1 sec left.

I would take a coach willing to do anything to win a game (including running up the score) over someone who kills dogs, shoots bouncers at strip clubs, gets busted for drugs constantly, gets busted for carrying guns, gets busted for drinking and driving/boating or actually killing someone during their latest DUI.

Cheating is wrong, but how is it more wrong than serving time, being indicted/convicted/suspended for illegal (by the law not NFL rules) activities?

I'd have to go with Mike Vick or Leonard Little. Although Belichick is a total jackass. So disappointing that one of the best coaches in history had to be so stupid.
