1) Is it harmless or offensive? I say offensive.
2) Is it good or does it suck? Sucks.
3) Should Shaq be allowed to open his mouth? I say no.

It appears that I am looking at a uphill battle here, but I disagree with everything you said.
I say it is harmless, I mean he was just rapping about an ex teammate, and he said later on that they were cool and he was just poking fun.
I actually thought it was kind of clever, I believe it was hilarious, so I say it was pretty damn good.
Shaq just has a great sense of humor and personality, I believe he should be able to speak whenever he wants too, the guy is a comedian.

Whaaaa???
Ok...
1) Asking Kobe how his *** taste is not offensive? I don't think Kobe's wife finds it humorous.
2) Dissing on Ewing is funny?
3) Saying he is better than Kareem is offensive to us all.
4) Ask Esco, the rap sucked, it was stupid and slow, much like him.
5) If you thought it was hilarious than you should watch Kazaam 50 times straight.
6) He has a great sense of humor? Like backstabbing everyone everytime he leaves an organization...
7) Personality? He's about as dynamic as a dying tree stump.
8) Much like Romario said of Pele, Shaq is a poet with his mouth closed.
outlaw is East Bound and Down said 06/24, 10:59 AM
I didn't watch the rap in it's entirety, just the clips that they showed on the local news, and I didn't here about Ewing or Kareem.
I don't think Kobe will be upset at all by this, and he does have a mighty high opinion of himself.
Apparently the fox station in Atlanta cut out all of the other parts, but the clips I heard I managed to get a chuckle off of, It could be that I really hate Kobe Bryant, but I found those parts funny.
And I didn't mean the since of humor like that, I meant he has a way of trying to be funny most of the time, like break dancing at the All Star game.
Th e personality thing runs along the lines of since of humor.
Ghost. said 06/24, 11:03 AM
Ah so you didn't hear the entire version my friend....
Yep, he disses Ewing's lack of rings and says he's superior to KBJ. Which, like I said, is an offense to us all....
I guess you also didn't hear the part were Shaq blamed Kobe for his divorce??
You shouldn't have accepted the TD if you don't know the whole truth...but now you know.
And him break dancing at the All-Star Game was as much fun as listening to Roseanne sing the national anthem.
outlaw is East Bound and Down said 06/24, 11:08 AM
Yes the comments about Ewing and KAJ are offensive, but it was not offensive what he jokingly said about Kobe.
And I'm sure he was joking when he said the thing about the divorce(which they actually did play on Fox), so I can't see how this could offend anyone except maybe Shaqs ex.
He may not be a good break dancer, but the entertainment part was great, you have great self control if you didn't laugh when you saw the Diesel Break dancing.

I don't see Kobe being hurt by this in the least.

Report Offensive CommentThe rap was bad. Just because you're good at basketball doesn't mean the world should be forced to watch while you try your hand (badly) at music, acting, and law enforcement. You're already famous. Just do what you're good at and leave the rest to the pros.

Report Offensive CommentThe rap wasn't that good, but he was just kidding around. He and Kobe are cool now. By the way, Ghost, I took a TD awhile back with David saying Shaq was the greatest Laker of all time. I would have had a shot at winning too had I not forfeited my final argument because my internet went down. There is a strong statistical argument for the Shaq Daddy.

Report Offensive CommentThe rap sucked and well rap sucks period but Shaq is a TERRIBLE RAPPER. especially when it's dissing an old team mate. I liked Sahq forever but im not sure I do now.

Report Offensive CommentThe rap did suck. Shaq cannot ride the beat to save his damn life. If you want to rap you have to know how to rhyme over the beat. He kept missing it.
I think it was harmless but by god did it SUCK.
Vote left.

Report Offensive CommentAside from the fact that rap is nothing more than bad poetry set to an incessant drumbeat in the first place; Shaq has a number of albums released. So for some folks who are fans of the genre (and I use that term loosely) he must be doing something right.
And as to whether or not his lyrics were offensive, I just can't imagine that. I've never heard one single offensive line in a rap song, ever. They're oh so respectful of women and law enforcement, they never speak glowingly of killing cops or dealing drugs. I mean isn't rap all about butterflies and seashells?

Report Offensive CommentPackers1: I am a fan of rap. Shaq only sold that amount of records based off his fame that he made as an athlete. I actually blogged about that for the Hip-Hop Fan Group two months ago. Shaquille was able to use his stardom to draw in some high powered guest stars, but the fact remains that HE CANNOT RAP. Rapping is not his forte.
