NO!!!

The Miami Dolphins are interested and considering how bad they were last year, Keyshawn should come back.

He had good stats in 2006, the last year he played, and had 70 receptions, 815 recieving yards and a 11.6 YPR average.

The Dolphins have almost nothing in their recieving corps. Yes, Johnson might be 35 but considering how good he was just two years ago, he should still be effective.

He is getting slower but he can still put the stats on the board

Keyshawn will be 36 in July. The Dolphins need to go after Terry Glenn or someone else who still is fresh. I know Glenn will be 34 in July, but still, that's two years younger. Keyshawn has been out of the league for a couple years and would need to get back into training ASAP. The Dolphins are in rebuiling mode right now and aren't going anywhere this year, and by getting someone like Keyshawn for just 1 year or 2, is just an idiotic move for the franchise.
Keyshawn should just stay in broadcasting and not make a fool of himself by trying to come back at that age. He has nothing to prove and is doing fine with ESPN.

Glenn is somewhat off an injury prone at his age and plus, he was never as good as Keyshawn. When you are talking about Keyshawn Johnson, who was so good in his prime, he is definitly better than a 34-year old Glenn.

The Dolphins are in a rebuilding mode, but that doesn't matter. Johnson has talent and he can make the Dolphins a little more respectable and help them win a few more games than last year. Anyways, there is always one team who makes the playoffs who was expected to be terrible at the beginning of the season. No team is out of contention this year so why not try to win?

Johnson could be a No. 2 reciever to Ted Ginn Jr. and take pressure off of the young sophmore. Ginn had a tough year last year and having a big name with lots of talent taking the doubles, that could give Ginn some much needed help.

Johnson will break up his ESPN career - OMG. Who cares?

You see other NFL players playing in their mid-to-late 30's, Keyshawn can definitly do it. Johnson was very good in his most recent season in 2006, if he can put up around 800 yards again with the Dolphins, it is a great move.

It would be a HUGE waste of money for the Dolphins to invest on someone like Keyshawn Johnson. He doesn't have the talent to make MIA respectable! Are you kidding me? Yea, he can provide leadership...but that is not what they need to do right now. The Dolphons have NO CHANCE in making the playoffs this year..are you joking? Yea, terrible teams do make the playoffs, but not in this case. MIA needs to rebuild. Keyshawn is getting older and older so he isnt going to be putting up number like he used too. Especially now, since he has been out of the league for a couple years. Dumb move, Dumb idea!

It wouldn't be a hue waste of money - Keyshawn isn't asking for much money. He wants to play and that is it. He would take a small, one or two year contract just to play. He is still a great player. He may not be in his prime and he isn't as fast as he used to be but so what? He could still be the best reciever on Miami.

He does have the talent to make Miami respectable. You said that terrible teams make the playoffs and then you said that Miami has no chance of making the playoffs. Well, Miami is a terrible team and they could turn it around. Look at some teams that were surprises this year:

Green Bay Packers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New York Giants - who ended up winning the Super Bowl
Tennessee Titans
Cleveland Browns - almost
Detroit Lions - almost
Minnesota Vikings - almost.

Miami has some young talent that could be good. Adding a veteren reciever could help them a lot.

I know Keyshawn won't be putting up numbers like he used to, the numbers he put up in his prime were amazing. He will still put up good numbers. Johnson did very good with Carolina, he could do that again with Miami. It will take pressure off of Ginn, which will be a huge plus.

Too old. Gone from the game too long.

June 25, 2008  12:33 PM ET

If Keyshawn wants to come back, who's to say no? Its completely up to him. Good on him for giving it a try.

June 25, 2008  12:35 PM ET

Glenn would be a worse choice for the Cowboys. He is coming back from injuries. Johnson could still be productive for the Dolphins and brings experience to the Dolphins young core. He won't be the number one option for this team but he could be number two or three. But all this relies on the fact that it has to be for the right price. I wouldn't pay him too much money if I was a team.

June 25, 2008  12:49 PM ET

Here is the thing what does he hurt by coming back? answer to me is nothing

even at his age he wouldnt be the worst wr in the league and could contribute to some team as a number 3 wr and if the team sucks real bad maybe a number 2. now if a team is looking at him as a number 1 well that team might as well as just forfit the season because they wont be winning many games.

I could understand if it were say Rice or somebody who is like a hall of famer and they were trying to come back or something then I would say stay gone. KeyShawm was just a real good wr and I see no problem with him coming back

June 25, 2008  12:54 PM ET

Definitely not. Too old and hasn't played in forever.

I usually don't vote this early, but people voting right after one argument is getting out of hand.

I love these TD's where we all try to decide what's best for an athlete or coach or someone along those lines. Just who the hell do we think we are. If Keyshaun can contribute and wants to give it a shot and Miami wants to give him a shot than that's who will make the decision. Not a bunch of us rinky-dink armchair experts.

June 25, 2008  01:35 PM ET

He left alot to be desired his first go around...

June 25, 2008  01:41 PM ET

At this point Glenn and Keyshawn would be a great help.

June 25, 2008  01:55 PM ET

Nowak,

Terry Glenn is not fresh. He should have had the micro-fracture surgery last year and retired. Instead, he got $5.82 million for four plays. Smart move, Terry! I don't see him coming back. However, I do agree with you about Keyshawn. Selfishly, I wish he would make a "comeback" just to get him out of broadcasting. But in a TD, that's not fair. Vote to Nowak.

June 25, 2008  02:19 PM ET

Terry Glenn? My goodness, Glenn is not someone Miami wants to go after. His surgery should pretty much finish off his career even though he still wants to play. Terry Glenn is on his way and Miami isn't going to want to take a player who physically can't really do much for the team anymore.

June 25, 2008  02:21 PM ET

definitely yes i was dumbfounded when he did cause he's not even old i mean he only played 11 years when most players play at least 16 and up i mean come on he's still got fresh feet

June 25, 2008  03:14 PM ET

Neither of these athletes would be worth risking anything for in their present state! If you recall Keyshawn was cut by the Cowboys prior to his taking the Carolina job! He was not a factor there either which led to his retirement! Glenn is a risk to not only any team (including the Cowboys), but to himself as well. All it would take is one wrong turn, bad hit, plant, etc for him to be rendered crippple. The only team who should and is taking a chance on him is the Cowboys and even they are trying protect themselves from too much liability! Face it, these are two washed up players, it is what it is!

June 25, 2008  03:21 PM ET

Nobody can stop Keyshawn from making a comeback, especially is a team is dumb enough to throw a bunch of money at him. The question is: Should he? From my perspective, no! Time is a brutal takmaster and collects its dues regardless of who you are. Time waits for no one!

Is it smart for Keyshawn to expose his body to the punishments of the NFL, when that body isn't as supple and resilient as it used to be? Keyshawn thinks he can. Most sane and realistic people don't want him to.

June 25, 2008  05:49 PM ET

miami will be last place with or without him so why waste a spot on him?
