Pick a player that was drafted in the second round of the 2007 NFL draft who will have the best NFL career
My Pick
David Harris NYJ

TE Zach Miller of the Oakland Raiders.
Miller had 44 receptions and 444 recieving yards. Considering that Miller is a Tight End, those stats are amazing for a rookie.
Miller is on a team with very litttle recieving competition - he should get at least 55 receptions easily next year, maybe even 60 or 70. As JaMarcus Russell matures, Miller should be one of the best tight ends in the NFL.
I think that David Harris will have a somewhat successful career, but not as great as Miller.
One reason why Harris won't be as good as Miller - he will be taking all of the doubles now that Jon Vilma is gone. Vilma took all of the double-teams when he was on the team, now Harris is going to take them.
And not to mention that Harris will be playing a lot of teams with great offensive lines for the next couple of years.
Miller had great stats as a rookie TE, not much is changing next year. I can see Miller averaging around 800 yards per season for the rest of his career, which is great for a TE.

David Harris is already a great player and should have no problem continuing on his journey to become a hall of famer.
In his first year in the NFL Harris showed that he has what it takes to be a special linebacker. After taking over for Vilma early in the season Harris was always making plays and getting big time sacks, he opened the way for other players to rush and made the offense think twice when they saw the blitz.
Also Harris made everyone even better as a rookie,I mean look at Kenyon Coleman. Coleman never even had over 35 tackles in a season yet last year he had 83 in part thanks to Harris's great leadership and when Harris blitzed, it opened spots up for Coleman to make the tackle. Then there was C.J. Mosley and Sione Pouha who both had there best seasons with Harris as the Jets field genral.
Not even to mention the stats that David put up last year as a rookie were amazing, I mean 126 tackles and five sacks a rookie linebacker is hard to do which has already made him one of the best linebackers in the league, up there with the Hawk's and Urlacher's of the NFL
In all Harris will become a star in the NFL and have the best career of any second rounder of the 2007 draft

First of all - I doubt David Harris will be a Hall of Famer - not wit the Line he is on now. Kenyon Coleman will take a tiny bit of pressure off of Harris but Harris is going to have trouble getting tackles with doubles on him. He will have to face the New England Patriots for two games every year - they have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.
Miller had a better year than Harris last year. 44 receptions and 444 yards might not sound like a big deal, but for a tight end, it is.
David Harris got 1/3 of his sacks in just two games - those two games were against the Washington Red Skins and the Buffalo Bills - he did not total anymore than ten tackles in games that didn't go into OT other than these two games. Inconsistent.
Plus, Harris got 46 tackles in three OT games. This is over 1/3 of his total. I doubt he will get this many OT games the rest of his years.
Zach Miller has all of the tools to be a great player. He is big with a 6'5", 225-lb frame, he can put up great stats, he can run fast . . .
Miller didn't get a lot of playing time at the beginning of the season, but when he got some, he made the most of it. He had 303 yards in the second half Of the season and he wasn???t even in a full-time role. He almost had 200 yards in December.
What makes Zach Miller special? It his team. JaMarcus Russell will practically have no one else to pass to than Miller this upcoming year and that may stay like that for a while. Russell is a former 1st pick and he should become a star ??? Miller would definitely benefit from this.

Report Offensive CommentLet's be honest, when James Laurinaitis is in the NFL, he will officially be the most moronic player in the league. He has talent, but you need intelligence to play linebacker in the NFL, of which he has none. Poz, on the other hand, is one of the smartest players in the league, and he will go down as one of the five greatest linebackers of all time.

Report Offensive CommentAgreed C-note....Im just glad he fell to us in the second even though we had to trade up to get him in the 2nd. I was kinda hoping the Bills were gonna draft him in the spot they drafted Lynch in. Personally, the Bills have had a top 3 draft class for the past 3 seasons drafting Lynch, Edwards, Poz, McKelvin, Hardy, Whitner, Ko Simpson and so on....
