I think Griffy ill be able to make the 700 club! He can still have another 5 years even more in the Mlb already past 500 if he averages about 35 if possible he may come out making the club.. But he will defenitly not pass Bonds!!..

Griffey passed 600 a somewhere around a month ago. He is one of the greatest players that we have ever seen. He currently sits at 601 home runs.
That said, he has probably, what, four years at the most left in his career? I doubt it will even be that. He has two more years on his monstrous contract, counting this season. Even if he does manage to play for another four years, he would have to put up an average of 25 home runs per year. That wasn't much for him ten years ago, but he just doesn't have that kind of power anymore. Chances are, he will retire after his contract expires. No one will want him, and he will still be able to leave the game with his pride.
Besides, he is injured way too much to reach this milestone. I'm sure he would have made it had he not gotten injured year after year since coming to Cincinatti, but he just doesn't have it in him anymore. All of those injuries took a serious toll on his body.

Right there you just agreed with me!!1

Where do I agree with you? I said that he would have made it had he not gotten injured so much. I also said that he doesn't have the power to do it before he retires. So again, where do I agree with you?

Report Offensive CommentI normally wait until after all arguments to vote, but superman's second argument convinced me that such analysis would not be needed.

Report Offensive CommentNo shot. As others mentioned, he's always hurt and right now,Griffey look like he's done. I'll be surprised if he passes Mays on the homerun list.

Report Offensive CommentLeecher, dont underestimate a HOFer. People who pitch in the MLB think like you: he is past his prime. They continue to get burned. 700 here we come.

Report Offensive CommentIs that reason to vote against me Roy? We know you don't even feel that way.

Report Offensive CommentIf he wouldn't have had the injuries he's had i'd say yea, but he's getting older and he's going to have to pick up his pase to get thr 700th homerun.

Report Offensive CommentSuperman has sketchy facts and virtually no argument.
Easy vote to the right regardless of what I think Griffey's final total will be.
