pick four players all have to have a major win

1. Tiger Woods
2. Gary Player
3. Seve Ballesteros
4. Jack Nicklaus

first of all tiger woods can do it all but he is a candidate for getting side tracked. gary player is one of the fundamental golfers who could keep a whole tournament on track which is what some players need. seve ballesteros is easily one of the best short game players of all time. for example, he birdied a hole after he it the ball on a parkiing lot in the british open. finally, jack nicklaus, you have to put him in the group for the sole fact that he "currently" has the most major wins. he must be doin something right.


How about the 4 best golfers ever?

Woods
Nicklaus
Hogan
Snead

You'd take Ballesteros and Player over Hogan and Snead? Hogan and Snead are basically the founding fathers of pro golf...

This foursome would tear it up on the course and includes 4 of the best players ever....


first im just going to argue player

he was declared by the pga and international commitee a couple years ago as mr. international for his domination

basically gary player can tear it up on any course

163 victories in 5 decades and he is still going


Assume if all members of our foursomes play the best game possible. With your foursome, it comes down to Tiger v Jack for 18 holes....with mine any one of my 4 could win this and it probably comes down to the 18th hole to decide a winner.

Sorry, Player and Ballesteros were great players in their own right, but no where close to Hogan and Snead.

Who are the only players to win 3 majors in 1 season? Woods and Hogan (Hogan probably would have won his 4th but the PGA Championship at the time was at the same time as the British Open and he won the British instead). Hogan 4 time PGA Player of the Year - Player 0.

Snead - Golf Digest ranked Snead as the 3rd best golfer all-time in 2000 behind only Jack and Hogan. Snead PGA Player of the Year once - Ballesteros 0. Snead 7 Majors - Seve 5.

Alrighty then.....who would you rather have in a foursome 2 of the best ever, 1 really good player and 1 okay player or 4 of the best to ever play the game?
