In no order

This is really tough, and there were a lot of guys I could replace on here, but here goes.

1. Willie Mays-One of the best defensive and offensive combo outfielders ever. Known for "The Catch" and his 703 Home Runs. Mays should definitely make this list.

2. Ted Williams-Probably one of the greatest hitters ever to play. Had a career BA of .344 and 521 home runs in his career. Ted is another obvious choice to this list.

3. Stan "The Man" Musial-The St. Louis Cardinal is a member of the 3,000 hit club and the 400 Home Run club. He was 49 RBI's away from 2,000. The Man is the best hitter in Cardinals history.

4. Ty Cobb-Known as best hitter ever in MLB to many. Cobb is a member of the 4,000 hit club. The Detroit Tiger also had career totals of 892 stolen bases and 297 triples.

5. Hank Aaron-Aaron is the second best home run hitter in Major League history. He's a member of the 3,000 hit club and the 700 home run club. He also holds major league records for total base hits, extra base hits, and RBI's. Aaron also has 3 Gold Gloves under his belt, and a record 24 All-Star Games.

Good Luck Yanksfan

1. Wille Mays

2. Hank Aaron

3. Ted Williams

4. Ty Cobb

5. Babe Ruth for Musial- Ruth was the one of the best baseball players EVER. He has more HR than Musial, his famous HR that he called and 3rd on the all-time HR list.

Sorry, I couldn't come up with a lot of differences, but you had a good list.
Good luck Mike

Mike, I can't believe you left out Babe Ruth. I like your list but the Ruth omission is absolutely ghastly.

He didn't play outfield as long as these guys did. I know he played outfield but not for his entire career. He was a pitcher for six years, and he still got some major offensive numbers being a pitcher.

Musial played 400 fewer games in the outfield then Ruth did and was a full time 1B by the end of his career. If he qualifies as an OF, so should Ruth.

My personal goes like such:

1. Mays
2. Williams
3. Ruth
4. Cobb
5. Aaron

Yea...If Musial makes it, then Ruth makes it. I'll wait for arguments but when Ruth is omitted in a TD, its probably a nail in the coffin.
