Can be either due to conspiracy, cheating, or simply undue media respect. Who is the guy/girl/heshe/ animal athlete that is least deserving of their credits and sports achievements.

You can start it off.


My biggest sports fraud is MLB Commissioner Bud Selig.

Here are some of the reasons:

First, as an owner, he basically overthrew Fay Vincent as commissioner, so that he could first become "acting" commisioner, before taking over as actual commissioner.

Second, the strike of 1994, resulting in the lost seasons of Tony Gwynn, Matt Williams, the Montreal Expos, and the cancellation of the World Series.

The All-Star Game in Milwaukee, where the game ended in a tie.

Trying in 2001 to contract the Expos, Twins, A's, and Devil Rays. The Twins and A's have since made the playoffs, the Rays are in contention so far this year, and the Expos had a strong chance in 2003, but since they were under MLB control (aka Bud Selig's control), they were not afforded any money for late season call-ups, and they faltered out of the NL East race.

Lastly, I firmly believe that Bud Selig allowed steroids in the game on purpose to bring fans back to the game after the 1994 strike, and only after Ken Caminitti revealing his steroid use did Selig make a stand on steroids.
