All Time NFL Teams!

Odds vs Even Jersey Numbers

PLayer can only have played for ONE team

QB - Elway
RB - DOAK WALKER
FB - BRONKO NAGURSKI
WR - FRED BILETNIKOFF
WR- Torry Holt
TE - Antonio Gates
LT ROOSEVELT BROWN
LG MIKE MUNCHAK R
C DWIGHT STEPHENSON
RG GENE UPSHAW
RT BOB ST. CLAIR

Good O-line there...I've got even #s

QB- Otto Graham, #14- Cleveland Browns
RB- Barry Sanders, #20- Detroit Lions
FB- Jim Brown, #32- Cleveland Browns
WR- Don Hutson, #14- Green Bay Packers
WR- Steve Largent, #80- Seattle Seahawks
TE- Kellen Winslow, #80- San Diego Chargers

LT- Anthony Munoz, #78- Cincinnati Bengals
LG- Bruce Matthews, #74- Houston/ Tennessee Oilers
C- Jim Otto, #00- Oakland Raiders
RG- Will Shields, #68- Kansas City Chiefs
RT- Jackie Slater, #78- Los Angeles/ St. Louis Rams

Man...evens make a really good freakin' team.

I won't argue since you just listed.

Skill Players

Elway vs Otto

With the DIfferent Eras Lets GO with some stats that are universal

TD passes per game Elway 1.3 Otto 1.38
Slight Edge to Otto- But Interceptions per game
Elway 0.96 and Otto 1.1

Yards per game Otto 187.2 Elway 220.0

Otto is the Biggest Winner in NFL history- But Elway had the misfortune of playing in the GREATEST QB era in HISTORY. and STILL came out with MVPs Passing title and a MONSTER YPG (16th all time) 300 Tds (5th all time)

RB - Let me just say that on 3rd and a foot- witch team is going to go for a QB sneak or might be facing 4th and 8 and who is simply going to turn and hand the ball off? 4.9 Yards per Carry as well

FB- Uh DUH 1-0 Porky

WR - Don is a No Brainer 2-0

Holt vs Steve

Holt - 11864Yards 71 Tds 83.5Yards per game

Steve -13089Yards 100 Tds 65.4 yards per game

The BOTH averaged a Half TD per game

In 5 years - Gates has 4362 yards 43 Tds 12.8 YPR
in his first 5 you had 3341 yards 28 Tds 12.5 YPR

So we split the Wideouts , you take FB - RB is a WHOLE other TD - and I got QB and TE

Line Men Next but 4 votes on a LIST?

QB: I like the effort, but really...you're going to compare passing yards across eras? You know it doesn't work like that. Graham was as DOMINANT a winner as the NFL has ever seen.

RB: I have the best back in Jim Brown. I have the 2nd best back in Barry Sanders. ULTIMATE thunder and lightning duo.

Doak didn't do jack as an RB at the pro level so unless we're all going to back to college, I think we can stop talking about him.

Bronco's entire offensive career was topped by any two of Brown's seasons. My backfield is just in a different league.

WR: Hutson is the best WR in history not named Rice. His 68.9 yds/game and 99 TDs dwarf Fred's numbers even though Hutson played in a era that didn't focus on passing.

Largent vs Holt is closer, but I still take it. Largent is Top 10 all-time in yards and TDs plus has a HOF spot. Someday Holt might match up, but not today.

TE: Kellen Winslow changed the way TEs played. Even playing in a BIG YARDAGE era, Gates can't match him:

KW: 5 rec/game, 68.9 yds/game
AG: 4.4 rec/game, 56.6 yds/game

No way Gates tops a legend like Winslow.

At best, QB is a wash
I take RB and FB easily
I take WR
I take TE

Graham was as DOMINANT a winner as the NFL has ever seen.

Well if that were the case then Why don't we hear about the entire team on All-Time great Lists?

OTTO made them great- same as Elway - But a Yard is a Yard is a Yard- and Elway blows him away- and even with the slight advantage in TDs- He still throws more Pics- and you do NOT have a YPG even CLOSE

Holt is MATCHING him game for Game in TDs- and has MORE catches and MORE yards at this point.

Holt is the ALL-TIME leader in Yards per game

Not top 10 not top 5

ALL TIME LEADER

and TE? Are you kidding me?

yards per game is a fairly weak point for Winslow- as UNLIKE the other men on BOTH teams Winslow MISSED 16 games his first 5 years- an entire season- Gates on the other hand has missed THREE

and consider Gates only needs 2700 yards and three (3) Tds to PASS winslow- Hes the FAR better TE to this point.

Make up your mind Porkins, do you want to use Yards per game? If so you are going to get BLASTED at QB as well.

QB- Me
RB- Don;t get me started- But with Brown at FB I guess going +20 -15 every other down is ok
FB- You
WR- Split
TE- Me

1. I'm laughing at your TE args. Winslow, Newsome, and Mackey DEFINED the position. I used yds/game to be KIND to you. Winslow has 200 MORE CATCHES and 2700 MORE YARDS. Come talk to me in 5 more years when it MIGHT be a contest.

2. RB/FB is not close. Doak's CAREER rushing is less than Barry's average SEASON. Come on. And FB? Even you can't argue Jim Brown.

3. Yds/game is all you have for Holt because Largent smokes him otherwise.

-MORE catches
-MORE yards
-BETTER avg
-MORE TDs
-HOF

Again, come back in 5 years when it MIGHT be a contest.

4. I see you were too afraid to address the O-Line. Makes sense. I have the best OT ever and another one in the Top 5. Matthews in the most versatile of any, and Otto has more than TWICE as many PBs AND APs as Dwight.

I take 3 of those 5 spots at worst.

And look:

Pro-Bowls...Me 96...You 66
All-Pros...Me 61...You 31

Ouch.

Also,

Top 3 backs: Me 2, You 0
Top 3 WR: Me 1, You 0
Best OT ever: Me 1, You 0

You made this about QB and TE because I win the rest.

QB- push
RB- ME
FB- ME
WR- ME x 2
TE- ME
OL- ME x 3

2 best backs ever, 2nd best WR, best OT ever, Top 5 TE. Good try.
