All NBA Team- Underrated

Make a team consisting of the most underrated players in the NBA. Isn't meant to work well together, just honoring the most underrated players in the league.

G- Monta Ellis
G- Mike Dunleavy
F- Danny Granger
F- Mike Miller
C- LaMarcus Aldridge

6th Man- Rajon Rondo

G - Monta Ellis
G - Hedo Turkoglu***
F - Gerald Wallace***
F - Mehmet Okur***
C - LaMarcus Aldridge

Mike Dunleavy vs. Hedo Turkoglu

Hedo Turkoglu, IMO, is not underrated. This year he was rewarded as the Most Improved Player. He was recognized for putting up better numbers with an award and he is underrated? I don't think so.

Dunleavy had a big season: 19.1 PPG, 5.2 PPG, 3.5 APG, 47.6 FG%, 42.3 3PT%.

However he is never mentioned as a very good player. He is a top scorer and shoots a great 3PT%. However, he is never recognized among top shooters in the NBA

Danny Granger vs. Gerald Wallace

Both of these guys put up nearly identical numbers, but 2 things stick out for me:
1. Playing time- Wallace puts up his numbers with 2 more minutes of PT. This can be a big difference with such close stats.
2. 3PT%- Granger shoots 40.4% from 3PT land. Wallace isn't a threat at all shooting 32%.
So Granger has the edge, with their recognition and most stats being equal for those two reasons.

Mehmet Okur vs. Mike Miller

Mehmet Okur is a center, not a forward, but whatever. Miller shoots the lights out with a 50.2 FG% and 43.2 3PT%. However, he isn't ever recognized as a sharpshooter. Plus he grabs 6.7 RPG. He is a very underrated rebounding SG as well.

No Room..

Unless you really fallow the NBA most people didnt even know that Hedo Turkoglu was the most improved player in the NBA.Half of those people dont even know who he is, yes he had a great season but it barley received any attention outside the outside the Orlando area. The fact is he has better numbers then Mike which are shown below

Turkoglu - 19.5 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 5 APG ,45.6 FGP, 40 3PT%

Dunleavy : 19.1 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 3.5 APG, 47.6 FG%, 42.3 3PT%.

Wallace is a better player then Granger. For one, Wallace is a great defender, even though his stats this year on defense were just average he makes a ton of big blocks and doesnt let his man past him. Plus two minutes doesnt make a big deal, maby a point or rebound but it ends up not to make a big deal. Plus what 32% isnt half bad from three, considering the years

Okur can play both forward or center just like Dunleavy can ply both forward or guard, so theres no reason to make a deal over nothing. What do you mean millers not reconized for his shooting, when I think of Miller I think of a shooter and if he was traded along with Love for Mayo he must be good. Okur averages just as good numbers and still shoots 39% fromthree

Out of room

Most sports fans know Hedo. He has been in the league for a long time, and like I said, was award Most Improved Player. I don't think he is underrated. The secret is out on him. Dunleavy on the other hand, recieves no attention whatsoever, despite having very easily the best season of his career. He is near the top in the league in 3PT% also, but wasn't recognized for it this past season.

What? 32% SUCKS. You might as well not even bother to guard him on the 3 point arc. Granger is a threat from all over the floor (shooting 40.4% from 3PT land). And when stats are identical (as they are now) 2 minutes makes a huge difference. 2 minutes is the difference between Granger averaging 19/6/2 and 20/7/3, which would make a big difference in comparison. You are underestimating the power of 2 minutes and 3PT shooting.

When people talk about Dirk, Redd, Allen, etc. among the best sharpshooters in the game, he isn't mentioned. He shoots a better FG% than a lot of really good big men, and ranked 10th in the league from 3. He is arguably the best shooter in the NBA. IMO, Mehmet Okur isn't underrated. He is rated how he should be. A solid shooting center.

Good Luck.

How does 32% sucks, he pretty much makes three out of every ten shots while Granger makes four out of ten, so 32% ISNT BAD. The one thing that scares me a bit about Granger is that he only had one good season, the year before he played about the same amount of minutes yet he only averaged 14 points and 4 boards. Unlike Wallace he has been underrated for a few years now and his numbers dont change much. Wallace is the better player, his defensive is so underrated, search him on youtube and see how many great blocks over bigger defenders come up, he can be on one end of the floor and a second later be next to the shooter making the big block. On the other hand theres Granger who seemed to give up just as many points as he scored

Since when is Mike Miller a big man.................plays either shooting guard or small forward so compare him to the positions hes plays against not big men. If Okur wasent overshadowed by Boozer and Williams he would be considered one of the five best centers around. You make such a big deal about TWO MINUTES for Granger while guess what Okur plays two less minutes then Miller which means he would have just as many points and a few more rebounds

Goodluck

crap i forgot a sixth man can i put him down here in the comments?

it prob doesnt matter. i am pretty much gonna vote on the people who i dont really know. lol

Report Offensive Comment

I agree its Rondo so dont even argue that sports guy

Report Offensive Comment

how about elton brand??? he averages 20 and 10 a night... and hardly is ever mentioned cause he plays for a crappy team

Report Offensive Comment

Elton Brand isnt underrated

Report Offensive Comment

Yeah, Brand isn't even close to underrated.

Report Offensive Comment

I like the sports guys roster better, but I'll wait for the arguements to vote.

Report Offensive Comment

Gerald Wallace = better defense

Report Offensive Comment

Mike Miller is a good pick but I wouldn't put him there

Report Offensive Comment

Wow, 3 votes against me already.

Report Offensive Comment

I'll wait for more votes but on teams alone, I'm definitely leaning to the left. It's more underrated and slightly more talented.

Report Offensive Comment

ya left is better

Report Offensive Comment

IMO, Danny Granger and Mike Miller are the most under-rated players in the NBA.

Report Offensive Comment

I don't think Mike Miller is underrated at all ... there was a lot of speculation that he should be on the olympic team as the team's sharpshooter. Also, there's a lot of buzz about Ellis now and I'm not convinced he's all that underrated anymore. Aside from that, waiting on the arguments.

Report Offensive Comment

i think Mo Williams, and Tayshaun Prince are really underrated

Report Offensive Comment

I do to, but these guys have better numbers

Report Offensive Comment

Since when did Mike Miller become a 4? I'll throw Kevin Martin's name out there, he can be pretty underrated sometimes outside of big nba fans..

Report Offensive Comment

^^ He is a forward. And like I said, this isn't about the team actually working well together. It is an All-NBA team honoring the most underrated players.

Report Offensive Comment

Damit, I hate being a passionate fan when im tding no room for Hedo because of Wallace

Report Offensive Comment

Hedo Turkaglo isn't underrated anymore since EVERYONE is saying that he is.
