THE RAVENS!
What makes there D great is that they have to leaders ed reed and ray lewis. then they have a good line ,good linebackers, a good saftey, chris mcalister. they D dominates. they clearly have the best D in the Nfl today.

Though the Ravens defense is very good, I would have to say the Bears defense is better. The defense made up for an unexplosive offense and carried the Bears to a division title. Remember the Cardinals game on Monday night? The offense was anemic, but the Bears managed to win on two defensive touchdowns, and a punt return forced by a defense stop. They have depth and talent at nearly every position. Plus, they were on the field more often, a result of Grossman's erratic play. While McNair isn't terrific, he is smart and doesnt turn the ball over as often, resulting in less time on field for the defense.

the D didnt carrie them to the superbowl. the team worked together. but tell me all the good players on the bears D. the ravens are atacking and make big hits and dont allowe many tds. i mean come on the bears D is good but if the ravens didnt have the D that they have ravens would be nothing. the ravens rely on there D. bears have some players on offense to help them out.

Good players on the Bears D? There's Brian Urlacher, one of the fiercest hitters and smartest players in the game. Lance Briggs, if he returns, is also a monster. Devin Hester is explosive, as is Nathan Vasher, a fellow corner and speedster. Charles Tillman and Ricky Manning collected 10 interceptions, just one less than the more hyped McAllister-Reed Combo. Tommie Harris, Adewale Ogunleye, and Alex Brown are well rounded run stoppers and pass rushers. Thats just to name a few. The Bears are ferocious hitters. They not only impact the game through their play, but the intimidation factor that they cast over the opposing squad. And saying the Bears have more offensive help than the Ravens? Would you take Grossman over Mcnair? Granted, the Bears did have Thomas Jones. But the wideout core doesnt compare to that of Clayton, an explosive young playmaker, and Clayton, a solid vet, not to mention Todd Heap. The Ravens clearly have more offensive firepower.

the way the ravens D works better than the bears. look at some of the stats
Zoolander said 06/26, 02:49 PM
Though, admittedly, the Ravens lead the Bears in most major catergories, it is by a slim margin. And as I said, the mere presence of the Bears D impacts the game, though that can't be measured. In the playoffs, they shut down both the Seahawks, a famed offense first team, and the Saints, who had the league leader in passing and possible MVP candidate in Drew Brees, not to mention the one-two punch of Deuce McAllister and the phenom Reggie Bush. Overall in the playoffs, they collected 8 turnovers-8 turnovers in win or go home games. Therefore, I believe that the Chicago Bears have the best D in the NFL.

Brees is ok?
Try 4,418 yards passing and 26 touchdowns to only 11 picks while turning around the last place 2-14 Saints to 10-6 and a division crown, and being an MVP candidate?
Yeah, he's just ok.

He took his team to the conference championship and lost, but granted, it was with a young and inexperienced (playoff wise) team. I dont think you can label him as a bad pressure performer yet.

I'm not voting for him because redsox7's arguments are really disappointing, but he's ultimately right. But seriously. How about "The Bears played in the NFC against a bunch of mediocre teams, and still finished behind the Ravens in most statistical categories." Or "We're talking about this year, not last year. The Bears have a new coordinator, Lance Briggs and Alex Brown want out, and Tank Johnson got cut. No way they'll be better than the Ravens this year." zoolander, you are so wrong. Yet somehow I'm voting for you.

By the way, in my second argument, I accidently listed Mark Clayton twice. I meant Derrick Mason. My apologies.
