kitna is probraly the worst QB in the NFC. More picks than tds. He is the worst


Kitna is the worst what? QB? His rating last year was over 80...not great by any means, but certainly not the worst. In fact, I'm not sure he was the worst in any statistic...

More INTs than TDs...Did you ever think that maybe that had something to do with the fact that the Lions were DEAD LAST in points allowed AND total defense?

I'm sure Kitna didn't want to be bombing it up there at the end of every game trying to get his team back in it.

Considering that Detroit's passing offense was ranked 9th in the league while its running game was ranked 31st out of th 32 teams last year, I'd say Kitna's flaws are the least of their problems.

How about this:

-Stop making terrible draft choices
-Get a defense that actually plays defense
-Get a running game that doesn't fail miserably

Then we'll see how good or bad the guy really is.

I never said anything about the North either. That's in the comments. I simply said Kitna is not the worst.

There's an old saying: Garbage in, garbage out.

It basically means that when you give a guy crap to work with, you can't expect anything better in return.

Kitna really isn't that terrible as a QB, and last time I checked their depth chart isn't exactly brimming with alternatives.

The Lions need to focus on line play and getting more out of Tatum Bell. Once other pieces fall into place, then we can work on blaming Kitna.

There are worse but Kitna is still pretty bad. They are going to have to keep him though, it's not like the Lions will be able to get anything better

It would be interesting to TD on that, the only reason Kitna got around 4,000 yards was becuase OC Mike Martz passed al lthe time, this year, Kitna will be lucky to get over 3,000 yards with a new offensive cordinator. He had some help with the stats and he still threw tons of interceptions.

Kitna is better than Peete, Ware, Galliano, Kreig, Mitchell, Batch, Joey, and Kramer. God what a sorry bunch of names I just typed.

I'm sure you haven't seen a better Detroit QB in your lifetime. And Kitna has thrown for massive yards the last two years. The reason he throws pics is the same reason Barry Sanders has a bunch of runs for negative yards; since the other part of the offense is so ghastly (see qb names above), the defense knows damn well what's going to be called. When you just have to defend against the pass, you're going to get more pics. They still couldn't stop kitna from throwing TD's though and they played in numerous close games last year, which could have gone either way, including that Dallas debacle where hoe **** paris hilton....I mean Lennon...couldn't just fall on the **** fumble that dropped in his lap.

What are basing the Rodgers pick on? He has slightly more than ONE GAME'S worth of attempts in his career.
Also, have you watched Jackson play?

You're ranking teams, not QBs.

Actually Kitna is very well the best QB in that division currently

you haven't seen enough of rogders or jackson to really judge but Kitna is far better than his numbers imply.

Marinelli has a sound defensive mind as the head coach and I think he will make that defense better. Maybe not this year but they could be pretty good. The problem for the Lions is that they have had so many bad drafts and so many losing seasons that they had a number of players who were just there for a paycheck and didn't buy into the rebuilding process and the new system. That is why Rogers was shipped off the Cleveland. At least Kitna is willing to lead this team and hurt his stats by doing whatever to try to keep his team in it. Martz is the person to blame for the Lions lack of a running game last season. He has a tendency to neglect the running game for the passing game which can lead to more picks and more sacks.
