This is my prediction for the NFC playoffs.
1st seed: Dallas Cowboys. Giving Marion Barber the starting job and adding Pacman Jones only makes this team better.
2nd seed: Minnesota Vikings. Best O-line in football with the second best and most explosive RB, adding Jared Allen makes them a Super Bowl contender.
3rd seed: Seattle Seahawks. Sorry Cardinals fans but the Seahawks 5-1 record against division opponents and 7-1 record at home are too hard to overlook.
4th seed: Carolina Panthers. This division is open for the taking. Delhomme will be back healthy and I like the addition of Jonathan Stewart.
5th seed: Philadelphia Eagles. It's been 2 years since the torn ACL for Donovan McNabb, which is usually the season where players return to their normal level of play. Adding Asante Samuel only makes a talented D better.
6th seed: Washington Redskins. Tough decision but I like Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis and Santana Moss in Jim Zorn's offense. They also have one of the best O-lines in football.

My Predictions:
1. Dallas Cowboys. Had to agree with you on this one. With Romo and TO, and Barber. And with Thomas, Ware, And Pacman, the Cowboys are the team to beat.
2. Agreed also
3.* Sorry Seahawk fans but I'll have to take the NEW YORK GIANTS. They lost Strahan. Sure he was a loss, but we have Justin Tuck to replace him. Let's not forget Manning, Burress, Jacobs, Bradshaw, Shockey, Osi, etc. The Giants will be a dominant force. And also, their star QB is getting older. Hasselbeck is still a great QB, but he is 32. Also, the loss of Shaun Alexander may hurt them. The Seahawks don't have a dominant RB now either.
4. AGREED
5. * GREEN BAY PACKERS. Sure they lost Favre, but have Aaron Rodgers and Brohm to fight for the starting job. and what about Ryan Grant? We saw what a performer he is and what a great player he will become. Also with Kampman, Al Harris, Driver, Jennings, Barnett, and many more, the Packers are the team to beat.
6. Agreed

I like the Giants but you can't expect them to go 11-1 on the road again. Redskins were a tough decision because of the Packers but Aaron Rodgers isn't Brett Favre and Ryan Grant won't be getting 5 yards per carry this year and Defensive Coordinators will have good gameplans for Grant, who did so well last year partly because of the element of surprise. Noone had heard of him or had any scouting reports on him, now they do.

"Aaron Rodgers isn't Brett Favre and Ryan Grant won't be getting 5 yards per carry this year and Defensive Coordinators will have good gameplans for Grant, who did so well last year partly because of the element of surprise."
I know that Rodgers isn't Favre. I never said that. Grant is a great RB and will mature. Defenses tried to figure Grant out but couldn't last year. Grant was a main reason for the Packers playoff run.
I" like the Giants but you can't expect them to go 11-1 on the road again. Redskins were a tough decision because of the Packers"
I'm not expecting the G-Men to 11-1 on the road. When they get into the playoffs, you see what mayhem they cause. I'm not saying the Giants will win the next SB, but they will get into the playoffs.
And if you think the Redskins are better than the Packers, that's sad. Let's take a look at the Redskins. Clinton Portis is still a threat on the field, but can't dominate like he used to. Most of the Skins O-Line is over 30 and the Redskins really don't have any threats at WR. The Redskins defense has also fallen apart since the loss of Sean Taylor.

I like your picks but, correct me if I'm wrong...... The NFC West is still a division right? I'm not sure because you don't have any of those teams in your picks. Usually when people make projections, they're valid.
I brought up the Giants road record because at home they went 3-5. You can't expect a terrible home team to make the playoffs.
Defences will have good ways of stopping Grant because of an ENTIRE OFFSEASON to gameplan against him. I know you didn't say Rodgers is the next Favre but I did because I think it would be harder for the Packers to make it with Rodgers then with Favre.
I do think think the Redskins are better than the Packers because of Favre. Jim Zorn has said publicly that Santana Moss is going to get more catches and Moss is a big playmaker. I would take Portis over Grant any day and anyone who wouldn't is someone who has never seen a one-year-wonder. Jason Campbell will be better because, hmm.... HIS HEAD COACH WAS A QUARTERBACK. You don't think a Quarterback might not be able to give tips to a quarterback? It doesn't matter that their O-line is old, it matters that they're good. And they are. The D won't be great but it will be good enough.

'I do think think the Redskins are better than the Packers because of Favre. Jim Zorn has said publicly that Santana Moss is going to get more catches and Moss is a big playmaker."
Favre is one player. The Redskins are old and the Packers are a younger team with much more talent. And just because Zorn said Moss will play well doesn't mean it will actually happen. The Skins don't have the DE's or DT's to be a playoff team. To win games, you need defense. Which is a quality that the Redskins do not have much of. And I would be alittle worried if I had to admit that Cornelius Griffin is my team's best DT. (Still talking about the Skins)
Happy Voting!!

Report Offensive CommentI don't see BOTH the Pack and Green Bay making it. Only room for one of them.
Whoever wins that weak NFC North gets in. The wildcard spots are going elsewhere.

No Doubt? Huh?
So why did you rank the Vikings ahead of the Pack in your 1st argument then?

Two things.
First, don't worry about it- the SEAHAWKS are from the NFC West. Duh, YankeeNation.
And second... next to impossible? No... For two years running there have been 3 from the NFC East, and last year there were 3 teams from the AFC South.

It's not even close to impossible. 3 teams often come out of the same division. Happened twice last year in fact.
3 teams made it out of the NFC East.
3 teams made it out of the AFC south.
