AL Wild Card - Yankees
Like them or not they are always there at the end. With the Rays starting to come back to earth and reality the Yanks should overtake them by the end of the season with another big 2nd half push. I think the Tigers will also make a big push but will come up a little short because of their awful start to the season.
NL Wild Card - Brewers
It's going to come out of the Central for sure and be a big dog fight between the Cards and the Brewers. With the Brewers going for broke with the early deadline pickup of CC Sabathia. This will be the race to watch in baseball come September. With the Brewers finishing up 3 game series against the Reds, Pirates and Cubs (who will be on cruise and resting everyone in that last series). The Cards finish up with 4 against the Dbacks and then 3 vs the Reds.

AL Wild Card - Rays
I think that they will fall down to earth, and actually have some hot streaks, and beat out the Yankees for the Wild Card. I think that they will win the Wild Card a game over the Yanks. The Yankees aren't going to have another 2nd half surge, as they have a new manager, and I don't think that he is going to be able to bring the Yankees to push them to make the playoffs. The Rays have a great team this year, and they are playing very well. The Red Sox will win the division, with the Rays finishing 2nd and the Yanks finishing 3rd. The Rays have a LOT of young talent and that is going to last for the remainder of the season.
Sure a lot of the Rays' players haven't played in the playoffs, but that doesn't mean that it won't change now. They have a great, young 3B in Evan Longoria and he is going to help A LOT for the remainder of the year and act like Ryan Braun, with the same great numbers he had. The pitching of the Rays has been EXCELLENT!
They will win the AL Wild Card.
Now for the NL Wild Card I would hate to argue against the Brewers, so I'm not going to.
The Brewers will win the NL Wild Card.

History should have taught everyone that you should never count the Yankees out...
The Rays are a good team but that pitching staff is starting to show its inexperience and lack of quality. The Rays Starters really drop off after Kazmir and Sheilds and bottom out after Garza. Sure Sonnanstine has 10 wins but his era is over 4.5 and their closer Percival is on the DL for a 2nd time this year. And the fact of the matter is they have never had a winning season in their 10 year history, have never won more than 70 games in a season, and only above 5th once in the AL East. So I really don't think that winning the AL wild card is in the cards for them this year.
The Yankees however are gearing up for there 2nd half surge. And I really don't see them missing the Playoffs in their last season at Yankee Stadium.
Also the Yankee's took 2 games from the Rays on July 8th-9th and have 2 more 3 game series with them in September and have already beaten then 7 times in 11 games so far this season.

"Oh you were finished .... Well then allow me to retort!"
Another problem with the Rays is their road record. They are 19-25 on the road. A team with that bad of a road record regardless of their home record isn't going to make the playoffs. It's going to catch up to them eventually and so will the Yankees.
The Yanks are 27-22 at home and 23-23 on the road. The last time they missed the playoffs was in 1993 not counting the 1994 strike year. That's 14 full seasons since they last missed the playoffs!
Wang is going to be back for the stretch run in September. And you know that Cashman and the Steinbrenners' will have a big deal up their sleeves for the trade deadline coming up.
They are 5.5 games behind the Rays for the Wild Card and are within striking distance. And remember last year they were below .500 at the all-star break last year then they went on a tear to grab the Wild Card and nearly the division at the end of the season.
Like them or not ...you can't count them 'Damn Yankees' out for the Wild Card!

The Rays can always improve on the road and get better. It isn't like they will just not be any good on the road for the rest of the year, they can have a hot streak, cold streak, but they will be able to improve their road record.
The Yankees now have a new manager, and that will effect them when they come back to make a comeback that they have. They are going to be effected by the injury bug too, as they have already showed this year.
Wang might be back during September, but there is a big question that is around him. That question is, will he be effective? I see him doing okay, but not being as effective as he can, and should be.
I don't see them making a trade, as Hank Steinbrenner is A LOT different than his dad. Hank wants to develop the minor league system, while George wanted to win NOW.
The Yankees might be within striking distance, but the Rays are going to do everything in their power to make sure that doesn't happen.
Evan Longoria reminds me of Ryan Braun. He plays like Braun, and he also plays 3B, like Braun did in his rookie year. Longoria won't falter as the year comes to an end, just how Braun didn't falter last year.
The Rays win AL Wild Card

The Rays are already starting their downfall, they have no experience in how to plan and make the playoffs. The Yankees as Foos said are always their at the end so my vote goes left.

I hate baseball, and I hate the Yankees even more. But they always seem to be there in the end. That and Foos' 3 arguements to 2 wins out. Vote left.
