I would have to say MJ in a wizards uniform against the cavaliers(before LeBron entered the NBA)....he was 40 years old and the wizards were down 92-91 after a big z layup. 1.3 seconds left on the clock and the wizards had the ball at halfcourt. everybody in the arena knew that MJ was getting the ball....MJ gets the inbound at the foul line, shoots a turn around fadeaway jumper and swishes it at the buzzer! the cleveland cavaliers fans were goin NUTS! that was the ONE Michael Jordan moment i have ever had and man was that a good one!


Wilmington, North Carolina
1983- Jordan is less than 5 months from leading the Tar Heels to the Elite 8.

I am 10 years old- and going to Wilmington Christian Acadamy - Jordan lives less than 8 blocks from the School

My ride is the secretary of the school ( freind from my mom) and she is stuck at a staff meeting- I wander around the school and go out to the basketball court.

A few people are playing 21- and I see someone I recognize

Yup you betcha - Now I'm a Worthy Fan- always have been- and this was a man that played WITH JAMES WORTHY

Had he ran the two man weave with the Big Man himself I could not have been more impressed - and yet there was Jordan playing pick up ball

and Yes I played

and yes I got Killed- Being only a shade under 5' in 4th grade - I had to stay out on the perimiter and shoot long balls- but I did play 2 games - If you had less than 8 points when someone scored 15- you had to sit out.

I sat out both games when someone got 15

Dunking was cause for banning at WCA -so Jordan (then) didn;t dunk

unless he got 19.

1st game he won with a reverse jam
Game two a windmill.

I was 10 feet away on the bleachers -waiting to play


aright aright.....well although my only michael jordan moment was when i watched him play in a wizards uniform doesnt make any difference than when he was in a bulls uniform(i know you didnt say this David im just pointing this one out). before he made the buzzer beater, my brother said,"ok, you take a picture of him making the turnaround fadeaway and ill take a picture of him pumping his fists after the game winner" and he pretty much called it, because thats exactly what happened! I mean i never thought i would ever watch MJ play, but watchin him play in a wizards uniform is good enough for me.


I would take watching a great in his fading days in the WRONG teams uniform than never see greatness at all.

I mean you got to see the end of his career- I saw the beginning- he still had hair then- even though he was no Worthy

I can legitamatly say I have been on the same court as MJ. - Never came close to him- at that time it was strictly grab a long rebound and shoot a jumper for kids my size- but had I known then what I know now.

I could then say

I got dunked on by Jordan

and then got his autograph several times

then hit him with a stick and stole his shoes his wallet, a lock of hair, his socks, took a DNA sample, a tooth, his bike-


To me seeing MJ in person is like seeing God!

Since you are a HUGE Jordan fan I will not tell you why Jordan is not exactly Loved in his hometown (or in Brooklyn for that matter)

But I bet Coach knows.

and it has nothing to do with him Smurfing the Bobcats.

I was on hand to watch Michael Jordan LOSE his ONLY chance at a High School State championship IN his own gym to me and David's beloved New Hanover High School Wildcats! Why is that significant? It is the only level which he was unable to win a championship!
