I'll start by saying I've been a fan of all three of those teams longer than you've been alive.

I'll easily destroy your claim by saying I've been on this sight for a year. Same name. Nothings changed. Except the Celtics SUCKED this time last year. 2nd worst record in basketball IIRC. And for several years preceding they were a bottom feeder. So how could I POSSIBLY be a bandwagon fan? Yep, I was on this site BEFORE KG and Ray Allen were traded for. Look it up.

How on earth you can call being a White Sox fan as "bandwagon" is beyond me. This is a team that has won 3 world series titles in their entire history...dating back to 1901.

As for the Cowboys, they last won a title in 1995. In fact, last won a playoff game in 1995. Before some of the members of this site were even born. Bandwagon? Indeed.

Yeah, If I'm a "bandwagon" fan, I must not be very good at picking the bandwagons...

Actually a day before the KG thing happened. Yet this proves what? I can tell you more about Larry Bird or Chief or Danny Ainge than you care to know. And if you want to argue that Red Auerbach WASN'T the greatest coach who ever lived, I'm your man for that, too.

I've explained how I came to my allegiences multiple times, now. Since when does one have to like a team simply because they are in or from that city? And if that were the case don't ya think it would be MUCH easier for me to be a Bulls fan? I mean, being as how I'm from Chicago and all and the BULLS have won more championships in my lifetime than the Celtics have?

Doesn't much matter what you change your name to what the reason for your allegiance is or anything else.

What you questioned here is MY reasons for supporting the teams I do. Without having any clue who I am or, apparently reading one of the 50 or so times I've explained it on FN, now.

So...let's do this ONE LAST TIME.

I grew up 8 miles from Comiskey park. Went to dozens of games every year. They were a BAD team most of those years. Bad might not be a strong enough word. Horrible is probably more appropriate.

Growing up basketball wasn't watched in my house because my father didn't care for it. The only time I watched it was at my uncles house. And guess what, he was a Celtics fan. Hence the only basketball I was exposed to growing up was...the Celtics.

Finally the Cowboys. Most of my family members were, of course, Bears fans. I wanted to be different no matter how good Walter Payton was so I chose the Cowboys based on liking the star on their helmet and the outfits their cheerleaders wore...

Now notice I mention Walter Payton was playing at the time I made this decision. Walter retired the same year I graduated from High School. Our 20 year reunion was last year.
