Handball is the sport that I'm going to look forward to. I'm ready to TD you. Good luck.

Olympic Basketball. It has the most interest because we have not won GOLD lately. I think we can pull it off but the competition has grown over the years and shows the most intrigue. bottom line.

Forfeited Turn

Clearly missed unknown, sorry! I will try this again.

My pick... Archery. Archery is probably the oldest art of ancient times.

Handball has to be considered a way better sport that Archery because of the nature of the game. As an American, how can you not like the game? Unlike soccer, there are plenty of goals and play in constantly moving with very few stoppages.

In this game you get the movement soccer combined with the scoring of basketball. With so much scoring and even contact, you'd think that the USA would be pretty good. But in all actuality we suck big time.

The game is very much a European game at this time and that causes it to be one of the world's unknown sports. If the game can get to the US, a huge expansion would happen and then it would be a lot like Archery is. Sorry I took so long, good luck Peachy.

Yeah, handball is just GREAT.

Archery has been around for years upon years. The Indians used Archery to kill buffalo and eat. Cavemen probably invented archery for that same reason. Archery is a less known sport in the olympics for sure.

I mean come on dude, Archery has been around since 9000- 8000 B.C! That's really insane. You know what B.C. means? lol j/k

Archery is full of eye contact and precision. It's been used by a WIDE variety of cultures. I think Archery was more important then Handball. You can't kill your dinner w/ a ball. lol

Holy Crap! I just saw that BMX was now an Olympic sport. Did ESPN buy the Olympics just to rename them the X-Games?

July 16, 2008  08:20 PM ET

The X-games and the Olympics are two very different things.

July 16, 2008  08:22 PM ET

Yep, BMX is definitely not an Olympic sport.

July 16, 2008  08:26 PM ET

Don't see BMX in the wiki definition.

Tug a war used to be an event. I say they bring it back.

July 16, 2008  08:30 PM ET

What makes the sport unkown?

July 16, 2008  08:30 PM ET

If it's an unknown sport, how would anyone know it was the best?

July 16, 2008  09:29 PM ET

I'm talking about something that is hidden from all of us, something that America doesn't hear about much.

July 17, 2008  03:50 AM ET

Handball, you mean the game I used to play in Elementary school in which you hit the ball and try to get a a slicee on people??????? I thought that was a child's game...... I know what the United States should do for Handball. Get all those little snot nosed 5th graders and send them to Beijing!

July 17, 2008  03:51 AM ET

We will destroy!!!!

July 17, 2008  04:27 AM ET

Come on Peach. Read the title. 'Unknown' sports.

I don't 'exactly' know what 'unknown' means...but I know it doesn't mean basketball.

July 17, 2008  07:39 AM ET

Come on now, basketball is one of the world's most popular sport. You can't argue that. By unknown, I mean something that we don't know all too well. Something that is outside of the top 6 or 7 sports. But whatever. And you can't tell me that basketball is unknown. Almost everyone knows what it is now.

July 18, 2008  04:20 AM ET

yeah my bad man. I must have accepted this after a bar run or something. I made a new pick. sorry again

Apology accepted, Peachy Clean.

Plus, you might win this now. He said he was 'ready to TD' but it looks like he might have bailed.

July 18, 2008  08:45 AM ET

I'm sorry for missing my turn. For some reason I thought it was your turn. Sorry. Crap I'm definitely going to lose now.

July 18, 2008  12:26 PM ET

Sorry, but archery isn't unknown.

July 18, 2008  12:26 PM ET

The ball part is true. I have to say that I've never seen someone PERPSELLOY kill an animal with a ball. I'm sure Randy Johnson's fastball doesn't count does it? 'Cause I'm sure some culture would have ate that bird.

July 18, 2008  12:27 PM ET

And handball is clearly better than archery.

July 18, 2008  12:46 PM ET

Vote to Keeper..I think he has the better arguments

July 18, 2008  12:48 PM ET

Except for that stupid screwup where I didn't even argue.

July 18, 2008  03:06 PM ET

Handball is great. Archery is boring.
