As much as I love the EPL (English Premier League) I have to go with the Italian Serie A. The Serie A is going to be great and I'll tell you why in my next two arguments.

I love epl, serie a and primera, but without dinho, itll be the prmiership that ill want to watch. the two best teams in the world, chelsea and man u, are both in the premirship. even though ac milan has dinho and kaka, they didnt even make the CL. they were quite dissapointing last year. lets put it this way, there are 4 really good teams in each league that finish top 4 each year, ac, inter, juve and roma in serie a and arsenal, chelsea, man u and liverpool. their both good leagues, but the premiership has more competiton and better teams

Alright, I respect that but this isn't the best league or anything like that that I'm talking about.

Solely for the entertainment reason Serie A is going to be the league to watch this year. You mentioned the big 4 but you left someone very important out. So let's look at the top 5 going into this year and let's look at the reasons to watch.

1. Inter Milan- the 2X time defending champs are ready with an odd group of players. With the arrival of the chosen one, they look like they could be a 3X champ after the season. They are also linked with Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

2. Roma- the always entertaining Rome side are led by captain Fransesco Totti and coach Luciano Spalletti. With Roma playing that 1 striker attack they are very hard to figure out and harder to stop.

3. Juventus- the side is lead by Del Piero, Nedved, and Buffon. Enough said there, that is enough reason to watch.

4. FIORENTINA- this side will be fun as crap to watch. With Mutu and a host of good young'uns and new signing Gilardino they are going to attack and attack some more. Watch them run!

5. AC Milan- The tradional champs now have Dinho and Kaka in the midfield. That will be fun!

Chelsea and Man U were the two best teams in the world last year. no one can argue that. Man U won the premiership by 2 points, and won the CL in a PK shoot out. Ill give you my top teams.

1.Manchester United-these 2x defending champs are also ready. Ronaldo scored 42 goals last season. he is the best. He isnt going to Madrid. They also have Wayne Rooney, who scored like 15-20 goals last season, Carlos Tevez and Nani. They are linked with the likes of Berbatov, Huntleear, Robinho and David Villa.

2.Chelsea- the runners up will be ready to get their title back once again. most likely, lampard will be at inter, but drogba will stay. they have signed deco, who is very good. they have ballack, joe cole, essien, cech, maluda and obi mikel. they have been linked with just about every player in the world, so who knows what theyll buy with all that $$$$$$.

3. Liverpool- with steven gerrard running the midfield and dirk kuyt and torres up top, this team will be hard to stop. stevn gerrard is much better then pirlo and torres is way better than pato and zlatan.

4. Arsenal- they got nasri, toure, gallas and robin van persie. arsene wanger always has good teams.

pompey and spurs are next

Next I'll argue about the depth of the two leagues. Serie A is sooo much deeper than the EPL this year. 5-20 (the UEFA Cup to the relegation spot) is just up for grabs. In the Serie A you have two great sleepers that could take out the big 4 from every country if they needed to. I'm not saying they would but they would come close.

The other day Sampdoria was linked with Sheva. If they were to get him, they would have a great attack with him and Cassano hooking up. The Serie A would be a lot more watchable with Sheva back.

Then you have the always fun to watch Udinese. With Di Natale still on the team they are always a threat to score. Last season he carried the team to this season's UEFA Cup by scoring 17 goals. If he can do that then Udinese can one again be on of Europe's best sleepers.

The rest of the league has teams like Lazio and Palermo. Overall the league is a lot deeper that the EPL. Right now the EPL has a lot of teams that are likely to go down and the Serie A really doesn't have more than 3 clear teams.

Hull, Stoke City, Fulham, Sunderland, West Brom, and Wigan are all teams that aren't all that great.

Serie A is the most entertaining.

the chances of sheva going to sampordia are slim to none. sheva wasnt able to play at the level that chelsea plays at, thats why hes struggling. there are many good teams in the premier league outside the big four. everton finished in fifth place, they are a great team. they got a shot at winning the league and the uefa cup. portsmouth is also very good. they just recently signed peter chrouch. they will be a loaded attack considering they have jermaine defoe as well. they will definatly be a dark horse to crack the top four. tottenham hotspur is also a very good team. they may of finshed 11th, but that just shows the depth of the epl. with new signings giovanni dos santos and luka modric coming to white hart lane, this will not be a team you will want to mess with. they should be able to qualify for uefa with ease. come on, you have to root for fulham though. with dempsey leading the way, it was pretty exciting watching them escape the relegation zone. they had to win quite a few games at the end of the season just to get away. the epl is the best

Italian Series A

The Premiership has more competition than Serie A? Are you joking? The Premeirship has Man. U. and Chelsea, and that's it. Liverpool and Arsenal are practically broke. And no club outside the big four has managed to challenge for a premiership title in over a decade. Meanwhile, Serie A is the deepest league in Europe, has five valid title contenders, and two possible dark horse candidates in Sampdoria and Udinese.

Man, with two of my favorite players coming in (Giovani Dos Santos, Carlos Vela), I am going to have to go with the EPL.
Will wait on the arguments though.

i didnt have enough room to finish mine. dos santos will be much more sucsessfull at tottenham then at barca. he will actually get playing time there. the return of carlos vela will be great for the gunners. im really looking forward to samir nasri.

EPL = completely predictable. About five to ten points always separate the big four from the rest of the league. One of the big four hasn't missed the Champions League since 2002-2003. Serie A almost always at least one dark horse team that gives one of the big teams a nightmare season. Just look at the diversity in Italian teams who have been in the Champions League over the past four years as compared to the English teams. Five English teams have played Champions League football in that time period. On the other hand, Serie A has sent six different teams to the CHampions League in the past two years, and eight in the past five. Serie A hasn't all of its big four to the Champions League in the same season since 2003-2004.

Simply put, there are no clubs like Parma or Chievo Verona in English football anymore. Small clubs that come out of nowhere to compete with the big boys and take them to the wire.

I didn't say that the EPL wasn't the best but it won't be the most entertaining league this year. Serie A will be.
