Alex Rodriguez should not of left the All Star game early. What reason would Alex Rodriguez have to leave the All Star game early? The final all star game at Yankee stadium and you probably have the best current player on the Yankees leaving early. You have Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera staying til the end (let alone on the top step of the dugout.

Lets just say that Joe Saunder's wife had not had their baby. I would understand if Joe Saunders had left once he had pitched to be at the hospital.

But, no player deserves to leave an all star game early (except for injury or icing purposes).

That was the final all star game being played at Yankee stadium and one of the Yankee's finest players leaves an important game early. He should be cheering on the League that could be getting his team Home field advantage (I AM NOT SAYING THE YANKEES WILL MAKE THE WORLD SERIES, LET ALONE THE PLAYOFFS).

I don't care if he is perceived to the be the best current MLB player. He still does not have the right to leave the all-star game early.

Where did A-Rod have to go at 12:00 in the morning.

Madonna's house.

come on people i made this TD thinking i was actually going to get some real arguments

can you actually make an argument

You asked where A-Rod could have to go at 12:00 in the morning, and I answered by saying Madonna.

He finally decided forget the game, I'm going to get some love from Madonna. Can you blame the dude?

Madonna is a 50 year old women.

BOTTOM LINE: AROD SHOULD NOT OF LEFT THE ALL STAR GAME BEFORE IT ENDED.

HE SHOULD OF BEEN THERE TO TRY AND GET HIS LEAGUE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE IN THE PLAYOFFS.

He wasn't even playing in the game when he left!!! Will cheering on the sidelines help his league get home-field advantage?

He is a grown man who did his part to win. That's not his team, the Yankees won't make the playoffs, he did his part, so why in the hell should he stay up till 2 in the morning??????

A-Rod wasn't the only guy who left. Where's your TD about Ben Sheets leaving?

July 16, 2008  11:21 PM ET

Oh as if A-ROD never sees the spotlight.......Let the Newbies play! It's not like they KNEW it was going to go 15 innings!

July 16, 2008  11:26 PM ET

I was actually just working on that

July 16, 2008  11:34 PM ET

i not saying that the newbies should not play - i am saying that he should be their to cheer on his team (i dont care if he will never play with this team again) He needs to support whoever is on the at any time

let alone Mariano Rivera had not even gone into pitch yet

July 16, 2008  11:35 PM ET

Jeez if you're gonna make a joke at least expand on it. Not write 1 sentence. Its a waste.

July 17, 2008  12:01 AM ET

Yankee fans won't forget this either

July 17, 2008  12:04 AM ET

arod is a loser, with no class

July 17, 2008  12:06 AM ET

more players did... but a-rod got publicized for it

July 17, 2008  12:30 AM ET

"i am saying that he should be their to cheer on his team"

It's not his team, he couldn't care less about the game since the Yankees aren't going to the World Series anyhow, and he was out of the game with no chance of being brought back in. What's the big deal? Several years ago Troy Aikman left the pro bowl early because he had an endorsement deal to get to. He was already used and replaced in the game. But in football you can come back in after being removed and the coach did, in fact, go looking for him to put him back into the game but he was gone. Nobody made a big deal about THAT. But, because it's ARod, and the media loves to kick a guy when he's down, a big deal gets made out of a meaningless situation.

Hell, he probably just wanted to go home and go to bed. Who could blame the guy for being less than enthused about the All-Star game after spending a week getting ripped by the media for not wanting to participate in the HR contest when they weren't busy talking about his wife or Madonna? I get it. He's a big star making lots of money. But at some point enough is just enough. Cut the guy SOME slack. He can't blow his nose without getting criticized for it.

Who wouldnt chose madonnas house over an all star game

July 17, 2008  12:35 AM ET

"He finally decided forget the game, I'm going to get some love from Madonna. Can you blame the dude?"

Yes, I can. Madonna is 50 years old and has been with half the guys in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Britain. I doubt there is much ARod could do for her unless he brings his bat with him...

They actually fined him 10,000 dollars. That seems like a big deal to me.

When I said the Yankees might be in the World Series, it was simply that - it was just a hypothetical thing.

If he was tired of the media, he would not of spent the time after he left to talk to the media.

July 17, 2008  01:06 AM ET

"HE SHOULD OF BEEN THERE TO TRY AND GET HIS LEAGUE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE IN THE PLAYOFFS."

And how exactly was he going to do that? He was already out of the game. You don't actually believe ARod cheering in the dugout would have any affect on the game what so ever, do you?

July 17, 2008  01:08 AM ET

"They actually fined him 10,000 dollars. That seems like a big deal to me. "

Might sound like a big deal to YOU, but to an NFL QB? Tip money.

I see where your going point left!

Come on NY. This isn't Jessica Alba we're talking about here. This is Madonna...She's 50!

________

I can blame him for not realizing he can do a lot better.

July 17, 2008  01:40 AM ET

AROD held a party after the all star game where no Yankee showed up. Does that say something.

Instead certain Yankees attended Derek Jeter's party instead.

"I can blame him for not realizing he can do a lot better."

That kabbalah has some mysterious powers. Can only come from the dark side of the force.
