Who is a better basketball player LeBron James or Kobe Bryant?

LeBron is better from these stats and if you say kobe is better because he has a couple championships look who he had on his team and Lebron has no one to help him now here are the stats i promised you
LeBron PPG-30 RPG-7.9 APG-7.2 now here are Kobes stats
Kobe PPG-28.3 RPG-6.3 APG-5.4 Kobe loses in every single one of those categories.


Right now?

Kobe Bryant

Yes he had Shaq

Yes He had more help than Lebron did.

But bottom line is Kobe does JUST as much offensively as Lebron- and does MUCH more on the defensive end.

Let me bottom line it for you

is there really a big difference Between having Lebron and Kobe with the ball? I mean are you fairly confident with either player?

Chris Paul/ Carmelo/ AI / Wade/ Durant / T-Mac / etc is standing at half court with the ball dribbling

I can send Kobe to guard him and be somewhat confident

you send Lebron out there to guard him

how do you feel?


if i sent LeBron out i am going to be confident because he knows what he is doing he knows to guard him close because he knows he could blow by him at anytime as Kobe would back off and he could blow right by him

You honestly expect that you can blow by Kobe easier than Lebron?

Kobe has made the last THREE FIRST team all Defensive teams - and made 6 First Teams in his 11 years

He made 2 second teams because some dude named JORDAN took the first team spots.

LeBron James has NEVER Made an All NBA Defensive Team in 5 years

Not Second Team

NONE 0-5 so far- and I will submit he is not even CLOSE to making the team as long as Ron Artest is out there and Carmelo is better as a SF on the D as well.

i think oftentimes the fans (us) are too caught up on the offensive end of things we neglect the defensive end of them. LeBron and Kobe are about equal offensively, but Kobe is DEFINITELY better defensively

Lebron cant shoot... why does no one see that.. look at his stat charts outside the paint he is less than a %30 shooter... all he does is lower his shoulder push people and dunk.... i normally wait for arguments, but there is no need to. lebron isnt even in the same class as kobe!!!

I really thought it was Kobe because I'd seen Lebron get contained by the Spurs and I thought Kobe couldn't be contained in a 7 game series. Then the Celtics did, and I'm convinced Lebron is a better play. He can't shoot as well, be he's better at driving, rebounding, and passing.

David, one game comes to mind after reading your argument. Lakers Cavs this last year, i tihnk it was in LA. Both Kobe and Lebron had great games and its close towards the end. Kobe has the ball down 2 with Lebron guarding him. Lebron forces kobe into a fade=away jumper that is no where close. Lebron then comes down and hits a jumper in Kobe's face to clinch the win. Lebron plays D when he wants to.

And after all that you still get my vote because Chris Paul has horrible arguments and i think he is cheating.
