Michigan State vs. Michigan
This rivalry comes up again as it always does. This year the Spartans finally have a better team since who knows when.
One of the main reasons I took the Spartans is because of Michigan's quaterback situation. They still have no key starter.
Another reason is that the Wolverines only return 13 starters, with a mere 3 of those on offense.
Michigan State has one of the best offensive teams in the Big 10 but get no credit for it. Brian Hoyer led the Spartans to two key wins at the end of the year last year against Penn St. and at Purdue. He kept them alive for bowl contention and should have a breakout season this year.
Javon Ringer ran for 1,447 yards for the Spartans last year. They return 3 O-Lineman that started last year. Greg Jones and Eric Gordon could both have phenomenal years at linbacker. There depth on defense is astounding and they should beat out Michigan.
Iowa will finish over Indiana. Main reason is that they're returning Jake Christensen at the Q and their WHOLE O-Line. They also return two key starters at defensive back. Theyhave an easier schedule. Wisconsin and Penn St. are at home, plus no Michigan or Ohio State

Illinois vs. Wisconsin
Let's not forget Illinois's run against USC last year. Juice Williams (QB) was amazing with over 5 passing and rushing td's. The combo of Juice williams to Arrelious Benn (WR) willbe great as it was last year. Also, we can't forget Jacob Willis, a WR, an underated player who will rise up to be Williams best option. The combo of Benn and Willis will be a force to be reckoned with.
Indiana vs. Iowa
Jake Christensen is returning. So what? Indiana's Kellen Lewis performed better, passing for 3,043 yards almost 1000 more yards than Christensen. Plus, all you're telling me is that players are returning. That doesn't tell me much.
Also, you told me I have good picks. Does that mean you agree with me?

Wisconsin vs. Illinois
I forgot to argue this one... Wisconsin is going to be really great this year and I still can't believe they lost to Tennessee in their bowl game. P.J. Hill is just a phenomenal back who could do a lot this year. They return 4 of their O-Line as well. Their defense is going to be a force though. They return 9 starters on a solid D. Johnathan Casillas and DeAndre Levy will lead this defense to one of their best seasons ever.
Wisconsin also has an easier schedule than Illinois. They have Penn St., Ohio St, and Illinois all at home this year. They went 7-0 at home last year.
Illinois lost Mendenhall, and a couple of key figures on a great defense last year. They are going to have to have some younger players majorly step up to repear last years performance. They have Penn St, Michigan, and Wisconsin all on the road this year.
Jake Christensen is returning most of his weapons from last year and his O-Line has some major experience. He should have a breakout Junior season.
Indiana is losing some key guys from last year and have a tough schedule. They travel to Happy Valley, Purdue, and Illinois. I don't see them doing better than last year.

Michigan vs. Michigan State
Michigan lost 3 offensive players. So what? Michigan State lost Devin Thomas and Kellen Davis. Thomas was WR and Davis a TE. The loss of these two players will hurt the Michigan State offense.
And let's not forget the great Michigan recruiting system. Because of these reasons, Michigan will excel more than Michigan State.
Happy Voting Everybody!!!!!!!

Actually, you have no idea at this point who has the better team. The Spartans have a recent history of winning the first 4 and them dropping 7 or 8 of their last 8 games in the regular season. You also have to take into account of if the Michigan's spread offense will work. If you go by "this team is full of freshmen" and use that, then that argument can be made opposing to the Spartans as well.

Report Offensive CommentI put Wisconsin over Illinois and Mich St. well ahead of Michigan. They don't have the personnel to run Rodriguez's offense.

Report Offensive CommentThis is not the season for Michigan....it will take another season or 2 to get the right personnel in place for that offense. Wisconsin should give Ohio State a run for the title.
