It was tough chosing because i have 2 others in mind but i thought this was the most popular

I have to make atleast 1 point in Argument 1 to proceed:

This is not even close. Yea you can point out all those major finals Christopher and Martin played in; however, there is nothing impressive at all about 2 men dominating a womens game. If they do check when they die it will be evident that Martin nor Chris were born women, they are just like a bunch of German Olympians.

Anyways Bud Collins called this rivalry "The Rivalry of the Century" -- 80 matches from 1973-88, with Navratilova topping Evert, 43-37, but each coming away with 18 Grand Slam singles titles.

In a tennis match 43-37 is close. and this was called just not by Bud Collins but many people are calling this the rivalry of the Century.

Relatively speaking, this pair didn't play too many times. But the fireworks when they did meet produced some of our sport's most awesome and memorable occasions, with two ****-kicking Wimbledon finals as part of that. It was Ice Man versus Crazy Guy. The quiet Swede with liquid nitrogen in his veins against the hot-head big mouth who told us "You cannot be serious" and made a catchphrase out of saying "Are you kidding?" to umpires. Wimbledon, 1980, fourth set, that tie-break. Fifth set, 8-6. Instant classic. Rivals supreme.

When it's all said and done, Federer and Nadal could be up there. However, Fed needs to be more competitive on clay with Nadal than he has been.

<--------------- Navratilova/Evert did a LOT to raise the game of women's tennis. Evert petered out, but then came Graf. Those were good times. Lendl, Edberg, Wilander, Becker... those were the best years of ATP and WTA tennis, hands down.
