1. No stealing my idea
2. No Pushing- pick a side and argue
3. If you don't LIKE the TD concept- then go start your own TDs and get the SMURF offa mine.

Will the W/L of the Chiefs improve or Decline

My Pick DECLINE

They can do nothing but improve after last years 4-12 record

I say 6-10 this year. They are rebuilding and I don't expect them do much better but better non the less better

First Johnson is going to come back healthy this year and they can do nothing but improve with Larry healthy for the start of the season.

With Jammal Charles to lighten the load they could be an awesome 1-2 punch for that team.

This will defiantly help spread the field helping the pass and help Croyle come along

A great new addition of Offense coordinator Chan Gailey is building a system around the power running of Larry Johnson.

Chiefs wont be afraid to throw down field but will also look to capitalize off of Dwayne Bowe???s ability to run after the catch and throw to him underneath.

Chiefs are in a rebuilding stages and showed it at the draft. They are looking to three rookies to start in Week 1, and several others to see a lot of playing time.

Bottom line they will need more out of Croyle

Chiefs had four games with 30+ rushing attempts posting a 3-1 record in those games.

Gailey will focus on the run and getting the ball to Gonzalez, they will improve

6-10?

Pats, @Car, TB, NO, @Ciny

Oak, Den, SD,

@ ATL, TEN @ Jets, Buf, Miami Raiders - are the only ones you have a Legit shot with-
and you have to SWEEP them all to get there.

Larry J is going to be Back- If he is 100% - but there will be 3-4 new players in front of him- and other than Waters- they will be either BRAND NEW or in a new spot. - THis line STUNK last year- and is not going to be better.

But they won;t beable to put 8 in the box because of that Great QB Croyle and all those All-Pro Wideouts like Bowe and .......uh Rookie uh 4th rounder Franklin who I'm sure will be AWESOME

dispite the fact his routes stink- Croyle never throws patterns anyway right?

on the other side of the trench they do have a monster in Jared Allen

-- What?

Oh sorry I have been informed that he is up in Minny right now. So they did replace him with in my mind the best Defensive player in the draft- that LSU Iron Horse Glenn Dorsey- true he missed a TON of time there- but when he is on the feild he is a MONSTER

I'm sure moving from the SEC to the NFL is not going to be any harder on his legs- and after week 4 vs Denver I'm sure he will be 100% and rairing to go.

The line is an issue and they can only get better.

They acquired Branden Albert who was one of the fastest-rising players in this years draft .

He will help bring that sack number down although rook but he is undoubtedly an upgrade at the left guard spot versus Damien McIntosh.

Last year Chiefs averaged 2.32 yards per rush heading left, worst in the league. Albert will defiantly improve that.

Guard Brian Waters a Pro Bowler from 2004 to 2006 should bounce back with talent like Albert next to him.

All the new personnel is a step in the right direction.

You are going to have a decent running game with Larry healthy and in that aspect they will improve . With a revamped roster at line they can only get better.

Dewayne Bowe led all NFL rookie pass catchers with 70 catches for 995 yards (14.2 avg.) you cannot diminish his importance with your sarcasm. Yeah he will need some help. You get that with a up the middle presence of one of the best tight ends to ever play the game and shows nothing of slowing down

There running will be more proficient as well as there pass game.

Not saying they are a playoff bound but they are better

"The line is an issue and they can only get better."

How? Osmosis? Seems like the same line the Cardinals used for YEARS on thier Line we will just keep slamming high picks in there and we will get better

"They acquired Branden Albert who was one of the fastest-rising players in this years draft "

Did he rise as fast as Mike Mamula?

(break as Eaglesfan set themselves on fire)

Andre Johnson, Trezelle Jenkins, Stan Thomas- There are 3 O-Linemen who are SURE FIRE going to help your line

Even O-Linemen can be Busts

"All the new personnel is a step in the right direction."

-- Tell that to the Detroit Lions and the Arizona Cardinals since oh 1960

or to ANY team that starts Ryan Leaf

Look I LOVE Bowe- (wife screams LSU-Love)

But who else do you have?

I'll wait.

You STILL lost one of your GREAT Defensive players- drafted a guy to replace him with a bad wheel in the same Div as the Broncos

Oh, is this a bad time to mention that your first 3 picks are not signed? Meaning your D-Captain will not be in camp Day 1?

They Might be there

I mean they both 1st rounders have been named starters- why do they need camp? Russell didn;t need camp in '07

Well David you are very good at subjective innuendo , throwing the Cardinals , Lions and Leaf in there. (Nice touch by the way) Reaching though...no.

But that cant hide the fact that the line has improved

Chan Gailey is a better offensive coordinator than Solari. He is one of the best in creating run schemes, coaching zone blocking and plays to players strength's. All key when putting a new line together

Welbourne Terry ,Wiegmann, , and Turley are gone.

There are not many players you can supplant into these guys position and make the line worse

The offense will be all about running up the gut . New offense.New scheme. This is Chan's bread and butter and with Larry healthy!

You don't get worse adding Gailey to your staff

As far as contracts nice reach.

Contract negotiations just started with Dorsey ( whom has okay wheels) and Albert, they will be at camp.

My argument is based off the fact that they are rebuilding and did improve by adding young talent and revamping the coaching staff

Noticed you didn't want to touch the Brian Waters comment. He is going to be a lot better with Albert next him.

July 22, 2008  07:30 PM ET

Kinda tough to do WORSE than 4-12. David you mention 6 teams they have a CHANCE against, but didn't mention they play the Raiders TWICE. That means even you are allowing 7 winnable games for them. Denver isn't exactly a powerhouse, either. A split with them wouldn't surprise me in the least. And that doesn't even account for the minor-major upsets that just happen over the course of a 16 game schedule. Didn't Pittsburgh lose to the Cards AND the Jets last year? Heck, of KC's 4 wins last year weren't two of them against SAN DIEGO and Minny?

With a healthy LJ + a great draft + a relatively weak division I just can't see 3-13 or worse...

July 22, 2008  08:16 PM ET

-----> voting right. Left, you didn't mention Tony Gonzalez 1 time during your whole rant. Kind of hard to diss the passing game when you fail to mention the best tight end in the NFL. You think 3-13? Seriously. Oakland twice, Atlanta, New York Jets (THAT'S 5 RIGHT THERE, WHICH IS IMPROVEMENT). You haven't seen Albert play, nor the 4th rounder (Will Franklin), and Jared Allen won't be missed as much as people think.

July 22, 2008  08:27 PM ET

"...Glenn Dorsey- true he missed a TON of time there- but when he is on the feild he is a MONSTER"

The hell are you talking about? He didn't miss a game in 4 seasons starting at LSU. NOT A GAME.

Also, the offensive line should be much, much better. They've improved the athleticism everywhere and Gailey's scheme should make them look a lot better than Solari's nonsense did.

July 22, 2008  08:41 PM ET

"Left, you didn't mention Tony Gonzalez 1 time during your whole rant."

--Hate the Game |

Considering I am stating that they are going to be BAD

Don;t you thing that stating an All Pro TE would HURT my position a HAIR

is it not the RESPONSIBILITY of my OPPONENT who is arguing BETTER to bring that up?

Check his first argument 'A throwdowner', "Gailey will focus on the run and getting the ball to Gonzalez, they will improve".

And you kind of lose credibility when you rant about how bad a section of a team is, and leave off one of the best players.

Really?

Show me where I mentioned TIGHT ENDS ONCE

please, show me.

Lets See, O-Line, Qbs, the ENTIRE Defense, I missed talking about the HORRID Coach-

Nope, I don;t see where I "rant about how bad a section of" the Tight Ends are without talking Tony G.

July 22, 2008  08:55 PM ET

Last time I checked, Tony G catches the ball too. I put him with the receivers, because when he runs routes, he technically is one. Yep.

July 22, 2008  08:59 PM ET

Dave has the better arguments...vote to him.

July 22, 2008  09:01 PM ET

How did he have better arguments?

July 22, 2008  09:04 PM ET

Hate the Game...obviously you are a Tony G fan.

Anyway, I wouldn't say that the TEs would be considered WRs because they also block on the line. I know WR block, but they mostly run routes. The running backs run routes, so would you put RBs with the WR too?

July 22, 2008  09:05 PM ET

How did he have better arguments?
Hate the Game | 07/22/08, 09:01 PM

This is all MY OPINION. I'm not asking for yours, and this is MINE

July 22, 2008  09:07 PM ET

He was criticizing the lack of receving threats, I'm pretty sure that Tony G is a receiving threat. But what do I know.

And if you post on the wall telling which side you are voting for, you are asking for others opinions. If you weren't, you would have just voted and left.

July 22, 2008  09:07 PM ET

And if you have a running back that catches passes like Tony G, Winslow, Gates, etc, then yeah, put them as a receiver.
