Who is the biggest disappointment this season in nascar

Ill take Kurt Busch

Busch finished seventh in points last season and won one pole, two races along with six top fives and 14 top tens which is a good year in Nascar by any standard. He had good cars and stayed out of wrecks for the most part, plus had a good chase where he even finished second in the final race of the season. With that second place finish leading him into this season he was suppose to have another terrific and even better season but things havent turned out as planed

This year Busch is 18th in points with only three top fives and four top tens. Yes he won a race but it was a rain shortened race where all he had to do was not spin out for the ten laps he was in front so it was a cheap win, something that is not expected for such a great driver. Also he has not finished three times which is just as many as last year. Also he has an average starting spot seven spots worse then last and an average finish five spots back of last year

In all Busch numbers have greatly decreased and hes the most disappointing driver in nascar

My pick? Mark Martin

Now, why did I choose him? I mean, he is one of the greatest drivers of all time, but this season, not so good.

In 14 races this season, he has just 2 top 5 finishes, 6 top 10 finishes, and he didn't finish one.

Last year, his average start was 16.2, and he finished 14.5 on average. That's an improvement of +1.7

This year, he starts at 12.7 but finishes at 15.1, a DECREASE of -2.4

What about Kurt Busch? He has a win, regardless of the rain, he has 1 win, something that Martin doesn't have this season.

Busch starts at 21.6 and finishes BETTER at 19.9, a increase of 1.7

He was a disappointment last year, which made people not have high expectations for him. He had a decrease last year to, of 1.5

The thing is, although Busch had a good season last season, people could tell that he was on a decrease

Mark Martin is the biggest disappointment in NASCAR

Busch was on the decline last year but not as much as this. Once you win a championship your held to big expectations and Busch hasent been the same. Even being seventh in points wasent a disappointment but being 18th,now thats unheard of, Busch is a great drive, has solid cars and a great crew chief so he should be getting a top 15 finish every week yet he hasent, and only has four top tens

Martin only races a little more then half the season yet he still has more top 10s then Busch and if he raced the full season he would be at least 11th in points could get him into the chase. Also Mark was 27th in points last year and is 28th in them this year, which shows that he is the same driver year in year out with no drop off close to Busch

So what Busch starts better then he finishes, the bottom line is that he starts seven spots back then last and finishes four spots behind last which is a big drop off for any driver. On the other hand theres Martin who is starting almost four spots better then last and is finishing only .6 worse which isnt a noticeable decrease

How was Busch on the decline last year, in 06 he was 16th in points and in 07 he was eighth

Busch is more disappointing

Forfeited Turn

Week dude, week

Martins constant, and last year was the same, he didnt win a race then and finished 27th in points while this year hes 28th, a barely notice able drop off.

Busch finished seventh in points and is now 18th. He finished second in the last race of the season last year and looked to build off of that and have an even better season this year. Even in the first race at Daytona he pushed teammate Ryan Newman to first and ended up with a second place finish. And to be 18th in points, thats unheard of

"The thing is, although Busch had a good season last season, people could tell that he was on a decrease"

Wrong, they thought he was on the uprise, the year before he finished 16th in points, then last year finished second. People know that Martins a top driver and if he wanted to race more he would be in the top 12. Martins the same year in year out while Busch just had one increadable season and is now out of the top 12, let along 18th which shows that hes the bigger disappointment

NY versus dude. This will be good.

I'll go with Dale Earnhart. Has like 7 cup championships, and hasn't even raced one race this year.

I didn't get a "missed turn message".

Whatever, I don't have time anyway. I'll forfeit.
