1. No stealing my idea
2. No Pushing- pick a side and argue
3. If you don't LIKE the TD concept- then go start your own TDs and get the SMURF offa mine.

Will the W/L of the Raiders improve or Decline

My Pick IMPROVE

My Pick: DECLINE

1. Unproven QB - Jamarcus Russell was brought along slowly and has still yet to prove himself in the NFL.

2. Coach on shaky ground - Coach Lane Kiffin was asked to resign during the offseason, and could be replaced during the middle of the year, unless the Raiders are winning games.

3. No second option at WR - They signed Javon Walker, big deal. Who else are they going to throw to?? Ronald Curry is not a legit 2nd WR in the NFL, and they can't give the ball to Darren McFadden every play.

Unproven QB

Name me a QB with 1 start that IS proven

Heck Eli was unproven before last year! Russell is being brought along slowly- and he should be- but he is still strong armed QB and his team is being built around him

2.I honestly do not have an answer here- but to be honest with you- I would be a better coach than Art Shell- but If Lane gets canned this team is still getting better.

3. Curry is a good WR (UNC LOVE) 55 catches for over 700 yards- and you know I would take that as a #2 - its close to what the Giants and Steelers had- Minny didn;t get that from thier ONE

The Chargers didn;t get that from thier #2 either

Send him to Carolina- I could live with that.

The Raiders get the NFC South and the AFC East

Falcons, JEts,Dolphins - only 2 to go

They also added DeAngelo Hall and Wilson plus drafted Branch about a round after he should have been- that not to bad on a rebuilt D

I could live with Hall and Asomugha as my CB tandem

Plus they only lost 4 games by a TD or Less

The Raiders are young- and Lane is a VERY good coach.

I agree, the Raiders are young, and Lane is a good coach, but will Lane be the coach all year?

Will the O-Line let Russell survive this year?

Will McFadden be the savior?

Yes, they lost 4 games by a TD or less, but they also lost 6 games by 11 points or more. I don't think that adding Tommy Kelly and Gibril Wilson to that defense is going to make that big of a difference.

Plus, their schedule is not all that easy. They get everyone in their division twice, so they may win 1 of those 6.

They get Buffalo, New England, Miami and New York (AFC), and they may be lucky to split those at best.

They get Tampa, Carolina, New Orleans and Atlanta, and they may beat Atlanta.

Baltimore and Houston round out the schedule, and both of those teams will be in the playoff hunt this year.

The bottom line is:

Russell is a year away
McFadden will be solid but not Adrian Peterson
They need a stronger WR core than just Walker and Curry
The OL needs help
The DL needs another pass rusher to complement Burgess
The LBs need someone to help Kirk Morrison
The DBs are the best area of the football team
Special Teams are always solid.

You are GIVING me 4 wins already -just a pass-

That TIES last years record-

they win ANY of the other 12 games (say vs the Cheifs, Jets or anyone else)

and that 5 wins.

Russell has a FULL camp behind him. - for the FIRST time
DM is going to be a better back than Bush his first year
and the secondary is good - so that means that teams will have to RUN the ball

Running the Ball = Closer games.

According to YOU, all I need is ONE more win.

I've made my arguements.

I looked at all 3 Dave...agreed with all so declined.

3 what

Rules? Sorry about that.

I think DeAngelo Hall will help them.

They were so bad last year, there's really nowhere to go but UP. Leaning left, but do agree that Javon Walker and McFadden aren't the saviors people think they will be.

Plus...it's gonna be really hard for me to vote for a Gator fan. :-)

The ONLY reason the Raiders will improve is because of their weak schedule. They'll get more than 3 W's, which will push my vote <-----------------. Damn, I hate the Raiders, though.

improve for sure... can't get much worse

Weak schedule? Have you even SEEN their schedule? Its a VERY tough schedule - but the Raiders are much improved and will still win 6-7 games. Vote left.

NC, Eli is still unproven...he hit a string of luck last year...if that play continues, then yes I'll give him credit...if he goes back to the same old Eli, then he is still unrpoven and its a string of luck...we will see though

still had better args voting left
