Do you really think that Arkansas is going to fall from third to sixth because they lost their two best backs? It's no doubt going to hurt them, but they aren't going to best a last-place team because of it.

Ole Miss is not a third place team. Their out of conference schedule includes a tough opponent in the ACC's Wake Forest, and they have a pretty tough in-conference schedule.

I feel LSU has too many questions to go any higher than third place. They've dismissed some people from the team, and I don't even know if they have a good quarterback.

As for the East, I think Florida will take it. Obviously, they have tremendous talent. Their schedule is much easier, though. Citadel and a Brennan-less Warriors team are two of their out of conference games. The other two being Miami who was a terrible disappointment last year, and Florida State as always. A fairly easy in-conference schedule as well.

I'm out of room, more in the next argument.

Arkansas will fall not because they lost their backfield (McFadden, Jones, Hillis). They lost Houston Nutt, who was a very good head coach and McFadden, Hillis, and Jones were their top receivers. Petrino does not have the targets at wide receiver or the QB to win this year. This is a rebuilding year as they wait for Ryan Mallet to gain eligibility.

Ole Miss has some NFL-caliber players who have underperformed due to bad coaching. They are returning their top 14 tacklers. They only lost 1 player who even registered an interception and only 3 who registered a sack. Michael Oher is the best player in the SEC right now, and he will be able to give their inexperienced backs enough lanes to beat Wake Forest, Memphis, and the rest of their non-conference opponents.

LSU may have lost players like Flynn, Perriloux, Hester, and Doucet, but they are returning Trindon Holday and Kelland Williams at running back, Byrd and LaFell at wide receiver, and they are bringing back 3 defensive players who could be 1st round picks (Jackson, Beckwith, Pittman).

Florida's defense was exposed by UM last year, and I think the offense will be not be able to pick apart defenses through the air.

They will fall, I said they will fall. But they will not fall to last place. Especially not below Mississippi State and the Rebels.

What... the... hell? Did you just say Michael Oher was the best player in the SEC right now? You've got to be joking. Really, you can't be serious. He'll be drafted high and he's one of the best left tackles, but surely not the best player.

"...he will be able to give their inexperienced backs enough lanes to beat Wake Forest, Memphis, and the rest of their non-conference opponents..."

So, because one person can create lanes, he'll turn around their whole season? He'll make terrible half backs great? He's isn't some miracle-maker. Even if they win out of conference, that's not even half of your schedule.

I'll say it again. Who is LSU's quarterback? Last time I checked, it's a pretty important position.

Florida has the best offense in college football. Florida will be better this year because of USC-transfer Moody who should be back and healthy this year. He's a great back and will be able to take some load off of Tebow's shoulders.

Michael Oher is freakishly talented. He runs a 5.2 40 time, which isn't regarded as amazing, but it is when the player is 6-5, 330 pounds. Oher dominates anyone he comes in contact with. He should be the number one pick in the NFL Draft next year.

He will be a big difference maker, especially in Nutt's offense. We've seen what Tony Ugoh could do in it. Imagine what the next Orlando Pace can do in it. He won't make the backs great, but they will surpass their expectations.

LSU has Jarrett Lee. He was a redshirt freshman, and he should be able to accustom himself well into the system. He has the targets with LaFell, Byrd, Dickson, and Tolliver. The defense is still one of the best in the NBA.

Florida does not have the best offense in the nation. That would be Texas Tech.

Either way, Urban Meyer hates running backs. I don't know why, but he refuses to use them. I doubt that will change. The defense is terrible. They got picked apart by Michigan, and the loss of Tony Joiner and Derrick Harvey shouldn't make it any easier.

I said he was great. He doesn't make all the other players better, though. He's one player. He can help the line, but he won't help them to a top-three finish.

Okay, I just looked. They have Jarrett Lee and Andrew Hatch, a Harvard transfer. Hatch has taken two snaps, Lee none. I don't see either of them making LSU a big contender this year. They're going to be put on spotlight in one of the toughest stadium's to play at in sports.

Alright, if we want to be technical, it was Hawaii. Following them was Kansas. Texas Tech comes in at seventh while Florida sat less than one point behind the Warriors in second.

Brennan is no longer at Hawaii and I don't think Kansas will have the dream season they did last year. They'll be good, but not as good.

That leaves, as I said, Florida.

You're making a big deal out of one game -- Michigan. The Wolverines had something to play for in that game. It was Carr's last game. You saw how they put him on two of the guys shoulders after the game.

Florida has one of the best recruiting classes this year, and already a much better defense than you give them credit for.

Oh yeah, I'll include the Championship Game results in my next argument. Had one more character of space left, that's all.

Tennessee is a top 15 team. LSU will be ahead of Auburn for sure.

Now that I think about it, I feel sorry for anyone who tries to predict the SEC this year. The West are all above-average to great teams, which will probably end up being a clusterfuck. The East, while Georgia and Florida standout, you also have to consider the trends and rivalries in there. There could be a 3 to 4 team split in the East.
