Texas A&M lost almost their entire defnese. They are also only returning one starting O-lineman. They lost Martellus Bennett and Kerry Frank, their top 2 receivers. On top of all of this, they are undergoing a coaching change.
Nebraska may have struggled last year, but with Bo Pelini at HC, the defense should improve, especially with players like Zach Potter (9.5 sacks) and Larry Asante (78 tackles) returning. Marlon Lucky and Quentin Castille are both great running backs.
Oklahoma v. Missouri will be an amazing matchup, but Missouri this year should be the favorite. Chase Daniel and Sam Bradford are both great QBs and I don't give the advantage to either one. Jeremy Maclin and Chase Coffman both are future 1st round picks who had a combined 16 receiving TDs last year. Maclin is also a phenomenal returner who had 3 touchdowns in kick and punt returns. Derrick Washington is a great back who will shine when he gets more carries. William Moore is a very underrated safety who had 8 INTs and 117 tackles last year. Their returning defensive linemen starters had 15.5 combined sacks last year.

A&M can only get better after firing Franchione. They will have a strong back field which will help with a newly structured west coast offense.
Goodson has the potential to be one of top five backs in the country. He has an uncanny ability to change direction on a dime and awesome speed.
You add Javorskie Lane at 274 pounds being moved to fullback they will have a very potent 1-2 punch.
You put a decent line in front of these guys they will have a stellar run attack
There pass game was non existent last year with Bennett, they can only get better with McGee???s surgically repaired shoulder.
Not saying they win a championship But they will be better than Oklahoma State whom you have listed in front of them
Cowboy???s have a decent offense but a less than stellar defense.
Nebraska went 5-7 last year and there Defense has not gotten better.
They are returning a defense that gave up 46 points per game over the final seven games. Defense wins games. Look for that back 7 to get torched all year. No one can turn that around in one year.
You have them finishing 3rd ahead Colorado Longhorns?? and a K State team returning one of the best QB???s in the nation in Josh Freeman.

You would think that you can only go up after getting rid of Franchoine, but Mike Sherman has never coached in college, and he was a bad NFL head coach. I doubt he can do any better than Franchoine.
The running backs are both very good, but they have no offensive line or defense. Walter Payton and Barry Sanders in their prime would still need an offensive line. Lane and Goodson don't have that.
McGee is coming off of surgery. He may not have recovered fully, especially on something as important as his shoulder.
Oklahoma State is going to just beat out TAMU in the South for the fourth spot.
Nebraska hired Bo Pelini. He will be able to turn around that defense immediately with his hard-hitting and speed style of defense.
That should say Buffaloes. I'm not sure what I was thinking.

"Nebraska hired Bo Pelini. He will be able to turn around that defense immediately with his hard-hitting and speed style of defense." - You can change style in a year but you cannot change talent and football IQ
Barry Sanders in his prime had a horrid line and still had great seasons. Not a good example.
There is a skill level need to be in the trenches but bottom line you put 5 milk fed Texas recruited grunts in front of Goodson and Lane you are going to have a decent running attack. Especially if coached well. Sherman is great at playing to his teams talents
Sherman was coach and GM in Green Bay. I'm sure he's qaulifies to juggle the rigamarole's of Texas A&M.
OK State has a decent offense but how can they get on the field when there D is getting blasted every play. There front 7 are unproven and unproductive. A&M is a little more balance despite the losses.
Kansas States went the JUCO route recruiting 19. These kids are ready to play. How good they are remains to be seen. But with Josh Freeman at QB (whose compared to JaMarcus Russel) they can make some noise. I see them finishing and beating talent lacking Nebraska and Colorado in the North.
will tackle big 12 game next

I'll never understand why people are so high on Texas Tech. Until they get a defense they will never finish above 3rd in the South.
