This year, the Argentininans will win the Copa America. They have a full-strength roster and many of there players won't have many more chances to win trophies. Plus, Brazil isn't at full strength, the US isn't in full strength, and Mexico just can't seem to pull everything together. And the rest of the field really isn't all that strong compared to Argentina.

while i admit that argentina has a full strength squad, you cannot count out brazil just because they are not at full-strength. if i recall, they won the last copa america with their "B" squad. what's not to say they can do it again? they have robinho, adriano, Gilberto, and fred. brazil will win

Messi, Tevez, Crespo, Riquelme. I can name more, but I'm not going to. Let's face it, Brazil second squad is very good. But they aren't up to the same level as a full-strenth Argentina side. Robinho and Fred can't match the output of Crespo-Messi. Plus, the motivation of Argentina will be to finally beat Brazil, just as they can do. Brazil is without Ze Roberto, Kaka, and Ronaldhino. Their two best players aren't available and their defense still hasn't improved since the World Cup. Argentina time.

you think the brazilians aren't motivated? many people think that they dont have a chance just because ronaldinho, kaka, and ze roberto aren't playing. when these two teams played in the last copa america, the brazilians thrashed them 4-2 and argentina had a darn good squad. whatr's not to say they can do it again even if the argentines have arguably their best squad? it doesn't matter who brazil has on the pitch, when they play, it's pure poetry in motion.

Yeah, it sure seemed that the Brazilians were motivated. They got thrashed by of all teams, Mexico. And they looked stupid in the process too. Anyway, Argentina has went 14 years without a trophy, some of their best have never won anything. Today, the "boys" of the United States face the "men" from Argentina. Check that game out and see what I'm talking about. Watch the fire come out from the Argentinians as our boys get unfortunately murdered. Oh yeah, Chile also defeated Ecuador
The time is now for Argentina.

i still have the utmost faith in brazil that they will win. mexico was a setback, but they'll defend their copa america title

No, I think Brazil will win. Even with their B-squad, they still have great talent, especially in Robinho and Adriano.

adriano isn't on the roster.

dunga has vagner love in his starting team. vagner love isn't even the best brazilian striker at CSKA! ridiculous.

im all for the US but they are now ehre near the league of argentina and brazil.. but yes brazil will win they usually pull through situations like this it gives they not so known players a chance to shine

The US is remotely close, when they send a full-strength side. They aren't even sending their experienced players. I still think they have a good chance of making it to the semi-finals, though. But definitely the quarter-finals.

yea they can make the quarterfinals in the first round only 4 teams are eliminated

This is going to beat a close one. They are both great teams, but I think I'm going with Argentina.

aaaand brazil has just been humbled by mexico, 0-2. it wasn't pretty. mexico even missed an open goal in the last minute, no keeper, no nothing and the guy missed the goal. the local broadcast sounded more like a funeral.

by the way, what has daniel alves done to justify his status as the "one of if not the top right fullback in the world today"? he never played a good match for the national team - not even a half-decent one, actually - and I never managed to catch a good performance of his for sevilla. maybe I'm being unfair, maybe I've been unlucky to see only his "bad" days, but this guy looks like a hell of an underperformer for such a hyped up player.

Alves was sick and hate the Mexicans because i love the US MNT.

There is no way Brazil will win this torny so I guess that means Argentina will to most people, but if Feilhaber, Simek, and Bornstein put on a show they can possibly suprise a lot of people.

All the talk is with Argentina, and they are getting much more exposure then deserved! last year isn't far off, who has been added to this years argentinian squad? if it's the same as last year, then why are they so much better this year?
