The Eagles current number one receiver is Reggie Brown. They Passed on Dwayne Jarret in the draft. I know they got speed guys like Hank Baskett and others but they dont have that big receiver that Donovan could badley use. Donovan needsd to be able to throw it in the air really high and have his receiver catch it. Eli is a under average quarterback and he looks have decent when he throw it up to Burress and think if Mcnabb had a guy like that.

The last thing the Eagles need is an aged, washed up reciever like Keyshawn. We have a great situational reciever, who runs flawless routes in Greg Lewis. Eagles have two big WR's in Hank Baskett (6' 4", 220) and Jason Avant.(6'0", 212) The Eagles also have two TE's in L. J. Smith and Matt Schobel. Where in the world are we going to fit in another reciever who would have a limited role in the offense? The Eagles need to get younger, not older at WR.

Avant is barely used and basket plays as a speed receiver. Mcnabb has never been able to win one because he has never has help. Remember Mcnabb got to a Super Bowl with the Eagles when T.O(a good big wide receiver who plays his size) Mcnabb needs to have that luxury to just throw the ball in the air and think he has a shot to catch it. They have been too dependant on Mcnabb for too long and it is finally time to take some pressure off of him.

T. O. had an admirable performance in that Superbowl. But I don't think you can compare T. O. with K. J. It's apples and oranges. T. O. is faster and more versatile. We already have big recievers for short routes and red zone plays. So the question is why bother with a guy who would upset the team chemistry? The focus needs to be on more power running. That was the key to the turnaround last year, not having an oversized short route runner. The key this year will be stopping the run.
