Tony Romo.
That's it.
Big Ben68 said 05/03, 12:15 PM
That's it? Tony Romo was rocked by the Lions at the end of season! How is that going to get you the division, especially after the way they lost it to Philly towards the end of the season. Also think about that the top receivers in Dallas are two 33 year olds on the downsides of their careers; and your top receiver can't even catch passes until possibly training camp. With the addition of Anthony Spencer they will have the ability to rush, but things look iffy in the secondary.
MowbrayDodgersDucks said 05/03, 12:19 PM
Tony Romo will improve so much during that offseason. The snap killed him. He will comeback and prove to be very good. 1) Terrell Owens also caught the most Touchdown passes among WR's. 2) Think about it, Marion Barber and Julius Jones are quite a good mix of backs both different styles. The secondary might look iffy but Roy Williams and Terrence Newman, yes, Terrence Newman make them good. As well as the addition of Ken Hamlin. Dallas also faces the AFC East this year, Dolphins and Bills = Joke
Big Ben68 said 05/03, 12:50 PM
Um, did you forget that the Redskins also face the AFC East or are you just oblivious to all but the Cowboys? Marion Barber? Julius Jones? Julius could barely make it through a whole season and Barber is good, but I doubt he would be any better than Jones once things got going. Also, maybe if the kicker had tried to jam the guy that tackled Romo short things might have been different. But even if that FG had been successful there was still enough time for Seattle to march down the field.
MowbrayDodgersDucks said 05/03, 01:03 PM
Well what makes YOU think that the Redskins will do any better? Clinton Portis? tell me what HE's done for the Redskins. Sure can't take em to the playoffs. Brunell? Campbell? Please... how are they going to factor into what their WR's need. Randel-El and Moss are too good to be wasted with a bum at the helm. IF, IF, IF.. IF he blocked him, IF the FG went in.. in Big D man.. everyone is forgetting about the mistake and looking forward to a great season and there will be one.. a title season.
Big Ben68 said 05/03, 02:34 PM
Ah, you make me laugh. Clinton Portis? Well, he's run for over 3,000 yards in Two & half years with us. Campbell shows just as much promise as Romo. The wideouts are younger and more talented than Dallas'. So what if TO had 13 TDs? He had just as many drops, what does that say about him? He's only looking for the big play to make himself look better. The Redskins defense was what killed us last year along with key injuries hitting Springs, Rogers, and LB corps. This year we're healthy.

What kind of lead argument is that? Big Ben gets the vote on that alone. Romo is better than the aged, now retired Bledsoe, but did you watch the playoffs last year? He hasnt proven much yet.

Report Offensive CommentWho else is there?
Donovan on steroids, Eli who needs to be fixed or the Redskins who have the weapons but dont use them and get a 6th overall pick...
Please...
MowbrayDodgersDucks | 05/03/07, 11:42 AM
Report Offensive CommentWell, the Redskins can win the division just as much as the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys. But the Cowboys and Giants have things to fix as well as the Redskins; the Eagles need McNabb to return from his injury at 100%. The Redskins definitely have the weapons and now that the QB is in place all that needs to really come together is the Defense. Laron Landry will provide a huge intimidation factor along with Sean Taylor, no one will want to go across the middle against the Redskins.

Report Offensive CommentStability wins championships - with the head coach change and new system going into place I'm not sure I'd but my money on Dallas - I also can't see Romo carrying the entire team on his shoulders to be the one reason they will win the division like your opening arguement said

Report Offensive CommentOh, that was what I was going to get to next, the coaching change...it's cool, I have plenty of ammo.
Big Ben68 | 05/03/07, 12:51 PM
Report Offensive CommentThe Eagles, Giants and the Redskins don't have the talent to compete with the Cowboys this year. The Cowboys may not be great, but McNabb has no recievers, Eli is turning into a joke, and the Redskins are cursed. Dallas improved this offseason. They'll be good enought to win this division.

Report Offensive Commenti've got to say the eagles are going to take the NFC east this year, and i don't really like the eagles.

Report Offensive CommentWhat happen to the Giants? Everyone thought they were going to be so good. They suck now.
Coletrain | 05/03/07, 02:49 PM
Report Offensive CommentExactly...they suck. They don't have a chance as long as Coughlin's the coach because the veteran leaders on the team GREATLY dislike him. Gotta go!
Big Ben68 | 05/03/07, 02:52 PM
Report Offensive Commentto be honest i think the Dallas Cowboys suck to they havent won a chapionship in i dont how long? they had that huge dynasty and just went straight down the drain.

Report Offensive CommentNFC East is weak overall, no real dominant team. I hate the Cowboys but I'd have to say they have the least questions going into the season

Report Offensive CommentWow, the NFC East is week... I thought that both the Wild-Card teams were selected from it last year... Look up WEAK in Websters Levon.
PHeNiX | 05/03/07, 03:31 PM
Report Offensive CommentHm, weak is not something I would call the NFC East. It is one of the most competitive division in the league alongside the NFC South, AFC West, and AFC North. All the teams hate each other especially in the NFC East and AFC North; every game is like a playoff game, each team gives their best.
Big Ben68 | 05/03/07, 08:56 PM
Report Offensive CommentI personally think the cowboys are the best team in the NFC east but big ben's argument is sooo much better i had to give him the vote. That's what a throwdowns all about. It's all about giving the better argument. Great argument bigben!
