This has to be the best names for rivals in the history of sports. Its better than Ali vs. Frazier, Sampras vs. Agassi, King Kong vs. Godzilla, Rocky vs. Clubber Lang....any you can name.

i don't get what your trying to argue by your first arguement, but if your arguing Kobayashi vs. Chestnut, Kobayashi is better. He holds a lot of records and continuously comes on top of Chestnut.

Their names. They are the best NAMES for rivals in the history of sports.

Yeah, sorry I misunderstood your argument. I'm still kind of blurry on what your trying to say though, if your talking about them being the best rivalry in sports history, I beg to differ. Tthere are better rivalrys, such as Michigan vs. OSU, IU vs. Purdue.

Yo, Joey Chestnut!

Fuggeda 'bout it. I love that name.

June 30, 2007  05:40 PM ET

What sport do they play?

June 30, 2007  05:42 PM ET

Competitive Eating.......Kobayashi is a beast,But Joey Chestnut beat his record.....Kobayashi had a jaw problem recently didnt he?

June 30, 2007  05:44 PM ET

Ohhh yeah, thats right. I remember now. Man that japanese guy is trippy to watch, his gut just starts expanding like a balloon.

June 30, 2007  05:45 PM ET

Stomach is crazy, but joey chestnut just beat his hotdog record, but it wasnt at nathans so we'll see if he can do it on the big stage.....

June 30, 2007  05:45 PM ET

I know. Are they competing in the HotDog competition?

June 30, 2007  05:46 PM ET

I dont follow competitive eating!

June 30, 2007  05:46 PM ET

sorry RU kidding me, I read your arguement wrong. however I think that there are better rivals in the history of sports. especially since competive eating has just recently started to become more popular.

June 30, 2007  05:46 PM ET

kobayshi like destroyed his jaw or something and no one knows if he'll be at the july 4th contest

June 30, 2007  05:48 PM ET

In the circle of Comp eating its pretty huge,I mean everyone knows about these two guys. Kobayashi even went against a bear...granted he was smoked, but still,if someone thought you could hang with a bear in the first place thats pretty intense.

June 30, 2007  05:51 PM ET

Hmmm, point to first guy since the second guy's put up 2 arguments without understanding what it is he's arguing.

June 30, 2007  06:00 PM ET

dude make your arguements understandable. id like to actually argue something, but i cant because you keep posting confusing arguements.

June 30, 2007  06:03 PM ET

not even a sport it's called eating and what about Yankees vs Red Sox

June 30, 2007  06:05 PM ET

no,ladies and gentleman,he isnt saying best rivalries...He is saying the best names of rivalries.Chestnut-Kobayashi.....While I understand where he is saying these are great names, you cant really appreciate it unless you knew about the sport.

June 30, 2007  06:06 PM ET

I even gave you 4 possibilities to argue with.

Here's another: Borg v. McEnroe

June 30, 2007  06:09 PM ET

Kobayashi has become wealthy from the sport. It is an international affair and bigger than you might think.

June 30, 2007  06:09 PM ET

sorry i misunderstood. i feel bad for ruining your throwdown.
