USC should be ranked #2 in the nation.

Texas Tech deserves the top spot after the defeat of Texas. But at #2, Penn State is undeserving. USC has shut out its opponent 3 out of the last 4 weeks. Their opponents are averaging only 7 point a game. It has one loss, albeit an embarrassment to Oregon, but Texas and Florida also have losses. Since USC would be favored over Penn State, Florida or Texas so they should be ranked #2.

What?

Even if Texas Tech gets the top spot (which they wont), Alabama will be ranked number 2, not USC...

Honestly, I think that this TD would of been better if it was 'does USC deserve to be in the top 5'..

Did you honestly see the USC vs Oregon State game? Oregon State isn't even a top 25 (maybe not even top 50) team and yet they still dominated USC. I can name 5 teams better than USC as of now:

1. Alabama

2. Texas Tech

3. Penn State

4. Florida

5. now the 5th spot could go to USC, but it is a close call.

-To argue that USC should be top 2 is lame. USC 'MAY' deserve a top five spot.

Good luck..

More to come...

My argument isn't that good because my first argument didn't work (I had to re-write it).

Love the USC has shut out 3 of 4 and kept them to 7 points per game...who did they play? I believe the Irish put up 33 on Washington and also shut them out, not a big deal.

Anybody who thinks USC deserves to be ranked ahead of Penn St is an idiot. USCs one loss was to Oregon St. Do you remember in early September when Penn St humiliated Oregon St 45-14? Also, don't even try to bring up the Ohio St game. Ohio St was already overrated by the people making the poles just so they could hype that game as the monthly "Game of The Century." Plus OSU did not have a healthy Beanie Wells and they hadn't even gotten Tyrelle Pryor involved in the offense yet(they had both of those when Penn St beat them). USC does not even deserve to be a top 10 team!!! They play nobodys, the PAC 10 has no good teams other than USC so they are able to blow teams out and make people think they are better than they really are. If the money grubbing idiots running NCAA football ever decide to give everyone what they want and put in a playoff system we will see that USC will end up losing in the first round most years because they will actually be playing a real college football team.

I would normally read arguments, but the thought of USC being ranked #2 right now is absolutely ludacris. Vote Right.

I wouldn't even rank USC in the top 6 right now.
Alabama #1. Undefeated in the SEC, and has played a few quality teams.
Texas Tech #2. ONLY because they've beat TX. They have less quality teams, and even the TX victory was after TX had already gone through 3 other top 15 teams.
Penn State #3. Undefeated. I don't care that they're from the Big 10. They're not OSU.
At this point, is where I would put Florida #4.
While, based on the quality of the TX loss, compared to the FL loss., the FL team is a LOT healthier than the TX team, and the number of hard opponents for TX is actually easier than what FL has left.
#5 TX. They barely lost to TTU, on a road game, at night, to a 90% hostile crowd., WHILE not being fully healthy. but, that's also why FL is ahead.
#6 OSU. This is different from how most people put it, but I see it like this; OSU lost to the #1 team at their stadium AND not only stayed in, but also played them when they were healthy.
#7 OK. They also lost to TX, but on neutral ground.(Its in TX, but it's also closer to OK). As for how much you've beat your last few opponents. That's good, but you've also been ranked a hella lot higher, & you've been stronger than them.
#8. USC. You lost to an UNRANKED team, and not only are they unranked, but they're still losing games. And while you can say, the margin of victory has been excellent in your favor, your playing teams that are also very much under you. That's like being rewarded for being up on a high school team. I don't care.

Since this was only concerning USC, I stopped there. As is, the main reason USC is even at #8, is because of their recent history and because I honestly believe they were looking past Oregon State and realized too late, what was happening.
#7 OK. Exact Same Thing as

Lol, yeah. But while USC is a good team, I just can't see how someone would even think they should be in the top 3.

Haha tha was funny by CP3 with the "I can name 5 teams better than USC" and then names 4. Easy win for him though, as his opponent is a schlub.

Nor their "destiny" either, but because you're a fellow downtrodden elephant I'll let it slide.
