The NFL and NBA are weaker now than they were in the 80's or 90's

In the NFL the 80's had the 49ers. The second best team of all-time was the 89' 49ers and the third best was the 84' 49ers. The 80's also had the Bears of 85, one of the best teams of all time. The 90's had the Cowboys with their 3 titles and the 49ers of 94'.

In the NBA the Celtics or Lakers of the 80's, or the Bulls of the 90's would beat any team today by 20 points, without even playing their starters in the fourth quarter. Name one team with talent equal to Bird, McHale and Parrish, Jabbar, Johnson and Worthy, or Jordan-Pippen. Cant' even come up with one can you?

You seriously think that? You say that the NFL in the eighties and nineties is better than it is today? You want a great team? Try the New England Patriots in the 2000s. Did anyone in the 80s or 90s go 16-0 in the regular season? I don't think so. Besides, you're comparing two decades to one decade. Is that really fair? Here's a fact of life: players are better now than they ever were before. Why? Better training, better equipment, etc. You put half of the players from the 80s into a team today and they would struggle.

In a hurry, have to leave soon. Will argue NBA in my second argument.

It's this simple, yes the 49er teams were far better than the Patriots. Brady vs. Montana, no contest. Jerry Rice vs. Randy Moss, again not even open to debate. The 49ers secondary and offensive lines boast hall of famers, no one on the pats other than Moss will be even considered.

Whoa, seriously? No one on the Pats besides Moss will even be considered for the hall of fame?

Tom Brady? Mike Vrabel? Teddy Bruschi? Adam Viniteri (when he was with them)? I could name some more, so don't even try to pull that crap.

And the NFL isn't just the Pats. The Steelers had a 15-1 season. The Colts have been consistently good. As have the Giants.

Now onto the NBA. The NBA in the 80s and 90s were very good. However, to say that the NBA now is WEAK is a complete exaggeration.

Kobe? Lebron? Garnett? Iverson? Billups? Duncan? Hamilton? I came up with 7, and that's just off the top of my head.

I know it seems that there have been no "dynasties" in the 2,000s, but there have been. Lakers, Celtics, Spurs, Pistons.

The Spurs have won it in 03, 05, and 07. The Lakers in 00-02. The Celtics are rising, as are the Cavs.

As I've said, remember that you're comparing two decades to one.

Forfeited Turn

So, you have nothing left to say? Figures.

Good day to you, sir.

Comparing one decade to two is stupid
