Argue in 1st and 2nd, list third.
So, I'm picking the squad riding a wave of momentum into the final week of the NFL post-season. Sporting several Pro-Bowl caliber players, my guys are most definitely going to take this one on Sunday.
Think about it...their young coach has led his team appropriately in the spirit of Steelers Pride. This is classic leadership that has trickled down from the Rooney family over the years.
While this team (up until recently) has incurred a significant Super Bowl drought, they are poised to take the crown in 2009.
Can the opposing defense actually stop this offense? They have a resurgent running game. Their QB plays with moxy and has overcome significant adversity. Adversity that threatened his future in the league.
They have, arguably, the most physical receiver in the game that rarely takes a play off unless injury is truly a concern.
After defeating the team with birds on their helmets in their title game, is there any doubt they can ride this wave to a title?

This should be a quick loss..but what the hey...got nothing else to do...BEST of luck to ya!!
I will take the squad that is riding the biggest wave of momentum in the playoffs at the moment. A QB that has been to the top and a set of Wide Receivers that are second to none. A defense that has finally put it together and cracked down on the run and pressured the opposing QB.
The offense of the opposing team, is not all that dangerous to the point where they can not be stopped. Stopping the running game is key if they are to win, and as much emphasis has to be put on the opposing team stopping the passing game of my pick.
My chosen team also has the added incentive of a slighted coach with the ability to get the ultimate payback on the grandest stage in all of sports, how can you not like a story line like that? There is also the QB that is probably making the run of his life and has the opportunity to guarantee himself enshrinement in the Hall of Fame.
My pick has all the momentum and nothing to lose, that is a dangerous combination regardless of the defense that they are facing and the on/off again offense of the challenger.

How does your team have more momentum than mine? Did you see the caliber of opponents my guys faced before getting to the Super Bowl? Sure, they hosted the title game, but that was only because the top seed lost. It is what it is. Can't take it away from them.
"The offense of the opposing team, is not all that dangerous to the point where they can not be stopped."
This offense isn't potent? Really? A resurgent running game (with several options) as well as a QB with a thick skin not afraid to take a hit? His offense can beat your defense any day of the week as long as he handles the pressure properly.
"My chosen team also has the added incentive of a slighted coach with the ability to get the ultimate payback."
Slighted coach coming for payback? I think this has more to do with both coaches being excellent testaments to the Pittsburgh system. Whatever job they had previous means very little in the scheme of things.
I don't understand this charge of momentum? Is it beating favored opposition? Or just winning in the postseason? Whatever the case, my team is #1.

Let's take a good look at this...
My team is a strong willed team that has a no quit attitude with a defense that actually intimidates the other team and requires them to make a game plan around their abilities.
"Whatever the case, my team is #1"
I'm a little confused..how can your team is #1, the game hasn't been played yet...are you planning on saying that your team in post 3 is the winner of the Super Bowl, and not actually a team name...that is the only way you can make this statement with assurance.
Slighted coaches play a large role in this game...one was ridiculed for being the pick of his current team and the other was the guy that was left outside looking in. This game carries large implications for both coaches to show that they belong and that they are the best.
My team has more momentum then yours because of the simple fact that they are a team that expects to win even when the odds are stacked against them. QB gets ridiculed for his choice of lifestyle, never mind that he just wins. Not the popular pick, doesn't matter, they just win.
Should be a great game with a lot of interesting sub plots to keep an eye on. Great TD
