So you start with this, sounds like a pretty good team that was appropriately rated. BUT..

then you decide to go this route, which was well.....stupid.

Nevada is a school that has most likely never EVER been overrated.

Not every program is KU or UNC or Duke. Recruiting is a struggle for the Nevada's of the world. They have to work to convince a solid player to go their. They can't get it wrong with even one recruit if they want to hang with the big dogs.

Some years they may get it right, somtimes a transfer of decent talent may fall in their laps but no kid with NBA aspirations grows up thinking, "You know what I can't wait to win a national title with Nevada."

Is that their fault?

NO, they do the best they can every year, they don't PAY players, they don't pay coaches millions of dollars.

Are they a good team this year? NO and again they are being rated correctly unlike the Kansas teams that lost to them in the past.....

I guess I am to blame for this forfeited turn. It took me 11 minutes to respond to his two sentence arguement. Obviously we only had a 10 minute window to finish 3 arguements each. After that this Jayhawk fan moved on to his next website of choice and never turned back.

I realize SI needs every single account possible, which explains the dupes but how bout we split the site into levels. A simple quiz would do fine.

Level 1- Beginner. Name 10 Professional sports franschises? If you don't pass this you are a level one TD'er. So that knocks 70% of the site to this level. They can only TD each other. The guy who is the smartest could get a spot on the leaderboard, only after showing improved knowledge do they move up.

Level 2- Intermediate- Name 10 Retired Athletes and 20 Active Athletes? This will be tricky for some of you but I know you can do it

Obviously we would thin out the morons or at least let them waste time with each other. I know we all like putting newbies in their place but all these new users who stumble along like Porkins to Golden Corrall or Yoda to a Gina Carano website are quite annoying. A quiz would make them move on quicker. NO?

Well RaefM4 you shouldn't give up. I believe your two sentence rant was just as thought provoking and informative as an Andrew Perloff article and if he can work for SI, you too still have a chance.
