Sam Bowie is the biggest draft bust of all time simply because of the talent that Portland passed on in seleting him. They could have had Michael Freakin Jordon, the best player of all time, along with Perkins, Barkley and Stockton, all of which had good NBA carrer. I really see no reason for him not being number one because they passed on the best player ever and others like Stockton and Barkley who both had amazing careers
If only the Golden State would have known what we know now about Chris Washburn. Your probly thinking to yourself, Who the Hell is Chris Washburn. While Washburn, a product of N.C. State was drafted 3d overall in the 1986 draft by Golden State. He had all the tools to become a successful pro and was picked in front of players like Dennis Rodman and Mark Price, both All-Stars and pretty good NBA pros. Back to the point, the guy was a bum. He had problems with drugs and checked into rehab a few times as a pro. After only 72 games in which he scored a total of 222 points, the NBA banned him for life
Last but not least, Darko Milicic.Like Bowie, he was picked in front of great players Bosh, Melo, and Wade all of which have HOF potential, which gets him on this list

1 - I agree with Sam Bowie. It's a no-brainer there, really. Just imagine being him.
2 - Rick Robey, picked #3 in 1978.
Who on earth is Rick Robey?! He was a very average basketball player.
He was picked #3 in that draft, by the Indiana Pacers.
Larry Bird went #6 in that draft. And he was already an Indiana hero, yet the Pacers decided not to pick him!
But Robey wasn't just picked ahead of Larry Bird, oh no.
He was also picked ahead of Reggie Theus, Maurice Cheeks and Michael Cooper.
Big "ooops" there.
3 - Michael Olowokandi, the Kandi Man.
He was the #1 overall draft pick by the LA Clippers (who else?) in 1998.
We all know about his "famed" NBA career.
And who was picked ahead of?
He was picked ahead of Paul Pierce, Rashard Lewis, Dirk Nowitzki, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Mike Bibby.
Yes, he was picked ahead as the top man in that draft, although his NBA career is mediocre at best.
All the other guys I mentioned (except Mike Bibby, if I am not mistaken) have been selected to All-Star teams. Olowokandi? Not so much.
Comparisons are coming in the next argument.
