Their QB situation is a mess Frye, Thier O and D lines are in transition, they have a weak secondary, Jamal Lewis is not a starter at RB anymore, Thier recievers are ok at best in short they are a mess

The Browns lost 8 games last season by 7 points or less. That says to me that they arent that bad as their record showed. (4-12) They dont need much to break through in some of the games. They arent pretty, but they wont have a worse record than the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders had a great D and will once again have a great D. But because they were 32nd in points scored and more than likely wont do much They dumped Moss and still have the locker room wrecker in Porter at WR. Not much of a great WR core to throw to for Russell. They have Jordan at RB, who really isnt much to look at anyway, and adding Rhodes is nice. But regardless of the new RB and QB, the OL will kill the offense once again. Its just like whats happened to David Carr in Houston, great RB and WR, no OL, horrible season. Raiders will be worse off than the Browns.better this season, they will be the worst. They had 2 wins last season and adding Jamarcus Russell is just putting another QB in harms way.

I think the raiders made the biggest move among the teams in terms of getting better by getting rid of art shell. I think that plus as you admitted a great defense will be enought to make them a better team than the browns. Personally I think the browns moves this offseason bode better in the long term but I think with no truly good unit on thier team they will be just a big a mess this year as last. Charlie Frye is not the answer and thier will be early pressure to start Quinn whos not ready

Another team that will be worse than the Browns is the Texans. They dumped David Carr, a truely solid QB that was cursed from the beginning of his career. (Horrible OL) Now they have Matt Schaub, a career backup. George Bush is better at being the President than Schaub is at being QB. A little bit of an exaggeration, but you catch my drift. He's only attempted 161 passes in his career and has 6 TD's and 6 INTs. Not what a team like the Texans need. Ahman Green is injury prone and doesnt seem to be the next big savior for Houston. The D is no where near a Top 15 unit. (24th Ranking Defense in 2006) No hope for the Texans. They had 6 wins last season, and some how managed to get worse, so they will have roughly 3-4 wins.

I still hold that the Browns will be the worst team...thier QB has the least potential...they have the least proven talent (they actually do among this group which is shocking)...If Braylon and Kellen were have the players they say they are they would have some solid ball catchers...They also play the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals twice each this coming season although historically the AFC west has been tougher Broncos are starting a sophomore the Chiefs are starting Brodie Croyle and LJ is threatening to holdout and the Chargers as disgusting as their roster is have Norv Turner as their HC now don???t get me wrong fantastic OC but look at his record in the top spot its not pretty???too nice a guy to lead a football team

The Browns QB doesnt have the least potential. Frye is better than Schaub, and Quinn has loads of potential. He's a rookie that is waiting on his chance to shine. Id bet he gets in by Week 6. Why are you dissing Winslow. He had 89 catches, 875 yards, and 3 TD's in 2006. Thats a TE thats burning defenses up. What in the world are you talking about the Broncos, Chiefs, and Bolts for? Your ripping them, this is about the Browns. What do their problems have to do with how bad or good the Browns will be? The Browns have a decent shot at 5-6 wins. And teams like the Texans and Raiders have a decent shot at getting booed in every game they play in. Those two teams might combine for 5-6 wins. Ouch.

Oops, looks like my argument got scrambled. Some sentences got flipped around in places they shouldnt be.

Ignore: "better this season, they will be the worst".

July 9, 2007  04:13 PM ET

Actually, now I see what happened. Somehow "better this season, they will be the worst" should be inserted right after "wont do much".

It should read "But because they were 32nd in points scored and wont do much better this season, they will be the worst". Dont know how it got all screwed up on me.

Copying and pasting from Word must have messed it up I guess.

y did u copy and paste from word

July 9, 2007  04:22 PM ET

If I didnt, the argument box wouldnt allow me to type as much as Id like. There is a limit. If you type in word, and then copy and paste, you can put more in the argument.

Raiders and Vikings tied for worst.

July 9, 2007  04:35 PM ET

The Browns will win at least 6 to 7 games and that is being nice. But the Raiders and Vikings and Texans will be not so good and the redskins are not going to be so good all with Rookie or second year QB's.

July 9, 2007  04:42 PM ET

Ahh! Forgot about the Vikings!

That George Bush arguement is pretty ballsy. George is not a great president, schaub is atleast decent at what he does. Thanks.
