I got you beat on pitcher, catcher, at least 1 of the outfielders. lol
1B is a tough one because Fielder leads the N.L. in homers yet my guy won the M.V.P. last year. You got me on SS. Hunter is also having a better year then Lee. And it is close for the closer. You beat me on closer too because Fransisco has been fantastic this season.

Santana isnt that much better than Sheets. And Cordero has 11 more saves than Nathan. Overall advantage to NL Central in pitchers.


Johan is much better then Sheets, who also can't stay healthy. I have the better shortstop too. J.J. Hardy has cooled down since his hot streak. And Nathan has a lower ERA so that says something about him. Nathan hasn't had enough chances because the Twins aren't as good as the Brewers.


Yeah, I checked the stats for both Sheets and Santana, he is much better. But what does a closer come into the game to do? Close. And Cordero has 11 more saves.Nathan has had less opportunities, but both are very efficient. Nathan: 18/20. Cordero: 27/30. Starting P: AL>NL

OK...wait a minute...Pujols is having an 'off year' with a .310, 16HR, 52 RBI season...but the guy AVERAGES .330, with 41 HRs and 124 RBIs a season...for the last 6 seasons, and he's NOT your 1B cause Fielder has a good first half of this season? Really?

That's crazy talk...Santana should be the 3 time reigning CY Young winner and Sheets, while very good, isn't in Santana's league...(and if you look at Santana'sstats this year, Haren is the only SP in the Al that's doing better...and Santana is a 2nd half SP:-))

What is this fascination with Sizemore...he's a good player, but, please...

last year he batted .290 with 28 HRs and 76 RBIs and struck out 153 times...which was very close to what he did in 2005 and about what he's doing this year (except this year, he'll have even more Ks)

last year, Hunter batted .278 with 31 hr and 98 RBIs...which is slightly better than normal, and the year before he only played in 98 games due to injury but still had 14 hr and 56 RBIs...and this year he's batting .301 with 19 HRs and 58 RBIs...and he strikes out considerably less than Sizemore...

Top it off with a BUNCH of Gold Gloves and why wouldn't Hunter be in there instead of Sizemore?

Comparing Closers...Cordero has had more Opps, hence more saves...that doesn't necessarily make him better...

Cordero: 0-2, 2.86 ERA, 27 Svs, 30 Ops (3 blown saves), 34 IP w/49 Ks and 19 BBs.

Nathan 3-1, 2.17 ERA, 16 SVs, 18 Ops (2 blown saves), 37 IP w/41Ks and 9 BB...

So, Nathan has a better record, better ERA, less blown saves, pitched more innings even though he's had less Opps and has 8 less Ks, but 10 less walks...

Santana, this year:
2.75 ERA, 121 IP, 125Ks, 30BBs, 1.03 WHIP, .215 BAA, 13 quality starts

Sheets, this year:
3.41 ERA, 116 IP, 87Ks, 25 BBs, 1.17 WHIP, .246 BAA, 12 quality starts

Santana is a LOT better this year too...and Sheets gets to pitch against the inferior national league lineups.
