there is not intensity all see is a bunch of old **** swinging a bat its boring n no part of it makes u want to come back and watch again u swing n run nothing different ever happens....HOW BORING!!!!
Ombudsman Cooz said 07/11, 09:11 PM
Two outs, bottom of the 9th in Fenway, Yankees lead 5-4 with Papi up and Mo on the mound...you're going to tell me that's not intense?
I think you might enjoy baseball a little bit more had you HIT the ball with the bat you swung, and THEN ran.
Ateeph said 07/11, 09:16 PM
thats almost as intense as watchin grass grow baseball is just like golf old retards tryin to pass time by swingin sticks the only difference is how they swing them
Ombudsman Cooz said 07/11, 09:27 PM
Did you girlfriend dump you for a baseball player or something? You seem unusually bitter toward the game. I can understand if you don't feel the same level of intensity for the sport as, say, English soccer fans feel about their team, but that doesn't mean it's worthless. It just doesn't appeal to everyone. I grew up with the game and played it into college. There was nothing I enjoyed more than getting out on the diamond during the summer. I happen to enjoy watching it, too, but honestly, it's for different reasons. I get different things out of watching a guy hit than I did trying (and usually failing) to strike a guy out. In that, I found those two things to be linked. There is so much in baseball to enjoy, but you kind of have to play it to see it. Well, it's easier to see it, anyway.
Either way, it's unfortunate you don't appreciate the game, but I could see why someone doesn't enjoy watching baseball. But you???re dead-on-balls wrong about it being worthless.

i played baseball a lot when i was younger until i started watching basketball and i realized baseball is boring every game is the same u walk up u swing, u run. other sports there is clutch where u have only a certain amount of time to do somethin but in baseball u have all the time u need then u just run. how is that intense? even if the bases r loaded n there 2 outs n your down one theres no intensity no suspense..but then again everyone is different
Ombudsman Cooz said 07/11, 09:54 PM
You got about a third of a second to swing and connect with a 90 mph fastball. I don't think rules even let you catch-and-release in that amount of time in basketball.
But yes, I see where you're coming from. Basketball and football are a bit more structured in terms of time and the objective of scoring. But that's what makes baseball great. That instant satisfaction isn't readily available, but if you watch it over the course of a season instead of just game-to-game, you see the thrill in it.

Report Offensive CommentYeah, Lakers, I was going to continue with the intensity of Fenway, but then thought, nah, he probably never played. It's hard to find someone who played baseball at a decent level who has this much hate for the game.

Report Offensive CommentToo true...baseball is worthless. Boring as hell...also, BoSox, you are a fool...most steriod cases in the media ARE IN BASEBALL not football...sheesh...
