There are several players that have already switched teams this offseason, but I have no doubt that Shaq will have the biggest impact with his new team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Last year Shaq played in 75 games (the most since the '99-'00 season), averaged 17.8 points per game due to an NBA best and career high .609 shooting. These numbers are better than the Cavs centers from last year. Shaq also played in the All Star game, his 15th All Star Game in his career. Last year prooved that Shaq still has some left in the tank, and playing with the likes of LeBron could actually make him better.

It seemed like Cleveland only needed one more piece to be able to finally win their first championship ever and the first title in Cleveland since the Browns in 1964.

I really think that Vince Carter going to the Magic will have the biggest impact for them. Obviously, the Magic were already good, but other than Dwight Howard, they didn't have that go-to guy, someone they could get the ball to to make something happen. Vince Carter can do that. The 6-6 220 pounder averaged 20.8 points per game as well as 4.7 assists. The fact is, he is very consistent, unlike Turkoglu, who seemed like he averaged 20.8 mistakes per game. You might argue that Carter's FG% is well below Shaq's at .437, but for one, they are two totally different players, meaning that all of Shaq's shots are either off the glass or slammed down the throat of the defense. Carter can hit three's, hit vital field goal shots, and he is a great dunker. He has way more versatility than Shaq. Plus he doesn't have to come out every couple minutes for a breather.

You want to talk about a team only missing a piece of the puzzle. Well it's the Magic. They almost did it last year without him, but now with Vince Carter, they are a big threat for the East division and the NBA as a whole.

You right, the Magic and the Cavs situations are very similar. Here are my problems with Carter:

Last year Carter had some of the worst stats in his career. His rebounds per game were the lowest since 2003-2004 and his points per game were the lowest since '04-'05. All of Shaq's numbers with Phoenix last year were consistent with the rest of his career.

How much playoff experience does Carter have? He hasn't been to the playoffs since '06-'07, and he's only made the playoffs four times in his 12 YEAR CAREER. Meanwhile, Shaq has been in the playoffs 15 times in 18 years in the NBA.

If I didn't choose Shaq, I probably would have went with Vince. However, the Cavs are a stacked team, and with Shaq, they should be expect nothing less than a trip to the NBA Finals.

Ok, I know A lot of people think last year's stats count for a lot, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Vince Carter can forget everything about New Jersey. He feel into a slump. Why? When you are, I dare say it, the only good player on a team, there is only so much you can do year after year. With a losing team, ofcourse your stats are going to suffer, that's common logic, but with a team where other good players that fill certain roles surround Vince Carter, you will see him play some of the best basketball he's ever played.
Shaq may be a good post, but just look how he is passed around from team to team. You say he has a lot of playoff experience, and he does, but if he is such a dominant force, why in the world would teams pass him around like a hot potato. Mainly because of his oversized ego and his unability to except that he can't be the center of attention. There is no arguing that, there is proof everywhere.

The only good player on the team? The Nets did have Richard Jefferson and Devin Harris, so you can't really say he was the only good player.

Shaq has been on 5 teams in 17 years. Any player that lasts that long will not play for one team his whole career. Shaq will not be the center of attention in Cleveland, and there's no way he doesn't realize that. How could this not make the Cavs better?

Now your just stating your opinion. Shaq not being the center of attention will be the problem. He wont be able to stand it. He cannot play with another big star. Granted he did ok with Dwayne Wade, but look what he did to Kobe. In Pheonix all he wanted to do was crap on Lebron's pregame show, saying that his was way better. Regardless if it was or not, which team was winning. Not Shaq's because obviously he was more worried about the media. Devan Harris was only good in the past two years. Richad Jefferson is not consistent. Just face it, Shaq wants attention and he will get it one way or another.

Leaning right but can you use players who aren't currently signed? If so, then Carlos Boozer is the man.

Boozer is staying Utah so he is not an option. How about Hedu? Hedu on Portland can make them a better offensive team.

I was expecting to see another Ron Artest throwdown. But I guess the Lakers can't really get any better from last season.
