I would have Andrew Jones in Center hes hitting 211 in his *big* free agent year and Pat Burrel in left who is a disapointment every year hitting 215 this year. My sp would b Barry Zito because 126 million dollar pitchers would not b 6-9 with a 4.90 era. Alex Gordon at 3b he had much bigger expectations then punto and is only hitting 232 with 6 hrs and 28 rbis. My last argument will b jd drew in right getting a BIG 70 million dollar deal hiting 252 with 6 hr and 33 rbis


I didnt say that any of these players had to be big name or be a dissapointment. I didnt say anything about them not playing good enough for what they are being paid. I didnt say anything about expectations. This is all about players that just had a downright bad 1st half. There fore you can throw out some of your guys, such as JD Drew, Punto, Zito, and Gordon.


Ok Punto was your guy and I think its a bigger disapointment if you are a bigger name and are being paid more money then guys getting little money with no expectation on them. Your calling Nick Punto a bigger disapointment over the *next george brett* Alex Gordon? Dye, Patterson, and Monroe bigger disapointments then Drew, Jones, and Burrel??


Did you read my second comment??? Im pretty sure I made it clear that this throwdown had nothing to do with player expectation or salery rate. And if your Alex Gordon is doing as bad as you say he is doing, then maybe you shouldnt refer to him as "the next george brett"!!! This throwdown was meant to be for players that have bad stats, regardless of what they are being payed or what they have done in the past. So yes, Nick Punto had a worse first half of the season then Gordon. And yes Dye, Patterson, and Monroe had a worst first half then Drew Jones and Burrell.


Thats what the media is calling Alex Gordon not me and Why dont you b more specific in your opening sentence because you obiously just picked the guy with the worst batting average at each postion no duh your going to win cauz theres no one worse! This throwdown was ridiculous, stupid, and unfair you basically set me up for an easy win by making your own rules. The more money you make the more expectations you have on you so YES burrel Jones and Drew are bigger disapointments then dye, monroe, and patterson.
