A-Rod > Mantle (post-season) - Second Attempt

A-Rod is a better hitter in the post-season than Mickey Mantle ever was.
A-Rod's career BA in the post-season is .279. Mantle's was .257.
A-Rod is often dogged for being a bad post-season player. This proves he is better.

Mantle Post Seasons stats vs Arod's Post Season Stats.
Remembering there was no playoffs back when Mantle played as compared to Arod now with all the extra rounds.
Mantle 12 post season appearances -- 65 games 59 hits 43 walks 18 home runs 40 rbi's
Arod 7 post season appearances -- 39 games 41 hits 17 walks 7 home runs 17 rbi's
The fact that Mantle faced only the BEST NL Teams in winning his 7 rings shows that he is the better post season hitter over AROD who has only made it to the ALCS 3 times and been knocked out in the ALDS. Oh and his batting avg in those ALDS series is .258. Only .001 higher then Mantle.
In other words right now, Arod can't even carry Mickey Mantles Post Season jockstrap.

So let me get this straight. In more games (26 to be exact), Mantle managed to get more hits, more walks, more home runs, and more RBI. Ok. I just wanted to confirm that.
In other news, Albert Pujols has more home runs today than after the first game of the year.
Mantle may have faced the best NL Teams. He also faced one NL team a season.
I also wasn't aware that he is the "New York A-Rod's." He made it to the ALCS three times? Nobody else? What happens when there is a pitching change? Does he crap himself out of confusion?
.001 or .050. It's better. In the ALDS and in the playoffs as a whole.
If A-Rod were to carry Mick's jock today, he'd have to wear a mask. With all due respect to the Mick, he's probably in what we would call rare form today.
That brings me to a startling conclusion that you have some sort of need to express your necrophilia problems to the FanNation community. I think we may have to notify the moderators of this issue.
The remains of Mickey Mantle should never be tampered with. He is an icon, and despite his problems - we hold him in high regard as a baseball legend. He should be allowed to rest in peace.

I love how you stray from the topic to get a laugh in hopes you'll get a vote. Mantle by far is the better post season hitter. He was more feared by the other teams and was pitched around more often the AROD. 43 walks in 65 World Series Games. They feared him for a reason. I, my self, wouldn't be afraid to pitch to AROD in the month of October due to his piss poor performance. AROD is hitting .143 with a man in scoring position and 2 outs in his Post Season Career where Mantle was hitting .318 and Mantle did it clean. No steroids unlike Mr. Boli.
Mantle is a better post season hitter then Arod.

What straying are you referring to? You're the one that wanted to talk about jocks and such. I simply made a statement.
Mantle played more games, and hence accumulated more walks. Another accumulation reference. Give the lightning rod another 20+ games and we'll see what's what at a later time.
How do you know Mantle didn't enhance his performance?
Greenies, or amphetamines, were introduced in the 1940's as a means to increase energy levels. Players supposedly popped them like candy. The dangers they proposed weren't realized until the 1970's. though players continued to use.
When did Mantle play baseball again?
Oh, I suppose it would be wrong to accuse a man who stayed up all night with scores of women before day-night doubleheaders of using amphetamines that up to 80% of baseball were actually using at any given time. Silly silly me.
Ironically, now you can't take them. Which means Mantle, more than likely, was enhancing his performance at a time where there was little outrage.
Let's just call it how we see it.
A-Rod's playoff average is better than Mantle's.
Better average = better hitter.

Better avg = better hitter --- It sure as hell does not.
There are so many factors that go into it and for anyone to think that just because his avg is slightly better makes him the better hitter, they are whacked.
