1 LDT

3 Steven Jackson
4 Gore
5 Westbrook

I agree with most of what you say, Gore will drop off a bit but still be top 5, Westbrook with a healthy Mcnabb is not gonna be top 5.

I will shock everyone with my new entry in the TOP 5, GOOD OL JOE THOMAS HELPS OUT!

1. LT
2. Steven Jackson.
3. LJ ( will not carry as much as he did last year, he broke a record lst yr)
4. Edgerrin James, had a pretty good season last year with no help. This year he has the #1 O-LINEMEN in the nation, watch for a 1500 + season again from Edge.
5. Frank GORE

Jackson only had 21 less touches than johson his workload will go down as well. Gore's supporting cast has gotten a little better and v. davis is healthy. I hate the eagles but when healthy westbrook is top 5 he avg. 128 yards a game and scored 11 td's(you have to consider recieving for a good back nowdays). He is that offense , mcnabb relies on him to make plays. As for the edge I hate to do this but Joe Thomas is a BROWN not a cardinal. They did add Levi Brown, but their is no way that will him top 5.He's 29 and is just no longer a top back in this league. He has trouble finding the holes in that line and their 's no way a decent rookie fixes that by himself

NO NO NO, if that was the case I would've definitely Put ADDAI up there.

Rookies mean crap when it comes to O-line. IF your big enough and strong enough and agile enough, no matter what your age, you can move ppl!

I caught that mistake myself, Edge had over 400 yds in December, 4 out of 5 of those teams they played were PLayoff teams. or fighting for a playoff spot.

LT,
LJ,
SJ,
FG,
all had more TOTAL YDS then Westbrook. and like i said he had HIS BEST YEAR BY FAR!!!!!!!
Edge is not too old, he was in a bad situation that is getting better!

Leinart's arm is getting stronger, Boldin and Fitz are 2 great WR's and will open up the game alot more for Edge this year.

I didn't say he meant crap, but one rookie can not fix all their problems they were horrible. How does recieving not matter( marshall faulk changed the position forever running backs are a vital part of the passing game.)You still made the mistake didn't you. I had all four of those guys ahead of Westbrook. REMEMBER. Wasn't everyone talking the cards up last year too. 29 is old for a back who came in the league at a young age and has been a horse every year he was healthy.his body has taken a beating. He wasn't even getting the goal line carries on his own team last year, how is that a top 5 back. He has had over 335 touches the last 5 years and it is taking it's toll.I might have given Westbrook a little more credit than he deserved, but his numbers are low cause Reid likes to keep him fresh and when given the rock he is an unbelievable back, regardless of mcnabb or no mcnabb. And definitely better than the edge at this point in their careers.

"29 is old for a back who came in the league at a young age and has been a horse every year he was healthy.his body has taken a beating. "

Do you remember where Edge played his WHOLE career up until last year? THE COLTS!!! HE WASN'T A WORKHORSE!!!! That's Peyton Marv and Reggie. He was on a PASS FIRST TEAM HIS ENTIRE CAREER.

The Eagles still ran the ball over 400 times, why does Westbrook get so few touches? He only gets 1/2 of the eagles touches each year.

Edge was never a workhorse, but always a great back, he slowed down on a new team who is rebuilding and rebuilding MUCH quicker then everyone thought.

Lana

Your mistake was throwing Westbrook in there.!

Westbrook had his best season last year, BY FAR, and that was because Jeff Garcia was at the helm. Donny boy is back and healthier then ever, which means less runs for BW.

July 15, 2007  10:40 AM ET

yes lennon?

July 15, 2007  10:41 AM ET

No I just daid your name for dramatic effect indicating my support and vote to you. lol

July 15, 2007  10:41 AM ET

Lana....so does your brainfart mean you think Edge will still get 1,500 with good OL Levi Brown instead?

July 15, 2007  10:45 AM ET

yes.

I think that Edge will be huge this year.

He didn't break 100 yds in a game till december last year, and 3 out of 5 games he broke 100.

He got over 400 yds in December alone, Both Boldin and Fitz had their best months in December as well. This team will surprise everyone.

July 15, 2007  10:53 AM ET

I agree that the Cardinals are going to be an interesting team to watch this season. The additions of Russ Grimm's coaching and Levi Brown taking over one tackle position will vastly improve their offensive line play.

July 15, 2007  10:58 AM ET

both wrong..neither edge or westbrook are or will be top 5...#5 is rudi johnson...man has over 1,400 yards in 2 of 3 seasons and has over 1,300 in the other one.

July 15, 2007  11:04 AM ET

joe thomas is on the browns...

July 15, 2007  11:07 AM ET

Yeah, that Joe Thomas mistake was semi-egregious. Levi Brown's good, but he's still a rookie, and the Cards still reached for him a little.

No love for Shaun Alexander?

July 15, 2007  11:12 AM ET

She already mentioned that, Tho

July 15, 2007  11:14 AM ET

You're losing my vote, Lana, considering your rookies don't mean crap comment. Who was San Diego's LT last year? I'm not saying McNeil is Anthony Munoz, but he obviously did something right.

July 15, 2007  11:17 AM ET

noone said rookies are crap, I just said they can't make a crappy line great by themselves. McNeil was nice but the LT and the chargers have been rolling long before he came to town.

July 15, 2007  11:19 AM ET

He had 404 touches his last year as a colt, that's not a workhorse, WHatever
