Now before you get your panties in a bunch, let me give you some stats

Average rank of defenses faced
Colts - 21.7
Vikings - 16.25

Average points per game
Colts - 28.1
Vikings 38.1

The Vikings have kept the big players they've faced in check. The only true big games players have had against them were Ray Rice and Rodgers recent game, both games the Vikings still won.

Now, for the explanation. The Vikings are playing tough teams and are beating each and every one. In the Steelers game, they were one bad call by the ref and one tipped ball away from Favre winning that game too.

The Vikings defense is full of playmakers that can change the game. Their defensive line is much heralded, their LB corp is very solid, and their secondary can be shaky, but they can make some big plays too.

The Colts have solid DE, couple good LB, and little in their secondary. I don't consider Bob Sanders in this equation because he's only played 2 games and he's always injured.

The Colts might have a better pass game, but the Vikings are much more well rounded team. Peyton is a great QB, but Favre has more TDs and fewer INTs than Manning.

Prolly gonna lose, but had to say this.

No way, Colts are the 2nd behind Cowboys as Americas team, they have vastly greater statistics that matter and will be in a higher position at the end of the season.

1. Colts have Peyton Manning, the greatest QB in the world and America's most beloved athletes.

2. Reggie Wayne gets better statistical production than any Viking WR.

3. Colts have some of the best LBs in the league, while Vikings do not.

4. Colts can move the ball, not only depend on the running game.

5. Vikings are entirely dependent on their RBs for offensive production, and their defense hasn't been able to stop even marginal players this year.

Wanted someone who made logical arguments, but whatever.

Colts have Peyton Manning, the greatest QB in the world and America's most beloved athletes.

I think Favre has something to say about that. Who holds all the QB records in the NFL? Manning does right? Oh, wait, it's Favre.

Reggie Wayne gets better statistical production than any Viking WR.

Wayne - 51 rec, 689 yards, 6 TDs
Rice - 37 rec, 585 yards, 2 TDs

This isn't that close if you look at these numbers. However, Rice averages 15 ypc while Wayne only gets 13, so thats better statistical production than Wayne. Your 0-2

Colts have some of the best LBs in the league, while Vikings do not.

Vikings LBs - 132 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 7 TFL, 2 FF, 2 INTs
Colts LBs - 98 tackles, .5 sack, 2 TFL, 0 FF, 0 INTs

Your 0-3

Vikings are entirely dependent on their RBs for offensive production

Easily the least intelligent thing I've ever read. What about Favre's 2000 yards and 16 TDs? Or Rice's 585 yards and 2 TDs? Or Percy's special teams contribution?

And their defense has given up big games to Ray Rice and Aaron Rodgers. They beat Ravens and sacked Rodgers 14 times.

Forfeited Turn

Shouldn't be surprised you did nothing.

Let me give you one more stat.

Vikings opponents - 23-35
Colts opponents - 17-33

So why neither team has played a tough schedule, the Vikings have played a harder schedule.

Just missed it, enjoy beating up the moron on the right.

Until Favre falls apart.

November 2, 2009  12:05 PM ET

Favre in the past 3 years has played great, in the first 10 or so games, after that he plays terrible.

November 2, 2009  12:06 PM ET

The Vikings have two fluke wins, they could have easily lost to the 49ers and Ravens, the Colts haven't really had any fluke wins.

This would have been an awesome TD too. Thanks ****

"However, Rice averages 15 ypc while Wayne only gets 13, so thats better statistical production than Wayne. Your 0-2"

What an awful, awful abuse of stats.

November 2, 2009  12:31 PM ET

Favre is no Peyton Manning.

Vote RIGHT

Yeah, I do agree with that. I'm still voting for rudedog, but Wayne >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>>>>>>> Rice.

For rudedog to even compare Favre to Peyton is just a little nuts. I LOVE Favre and the Vikes, but Peyton Manning is not only the best QB in the NFL, he is one of the most underrated QBs of all time.

November 2, 2009  12:43 PM ET

even though, I hate Favre. I do believe that Rude is strictly talking this season

November 2, 2009  01:03 PM ET

Doesn't Farve hold the NFL record for most interceptions thrown? Has Peyton Manning single-handedly lost as many Playoff games as Farve has? Favre jumped into a great situation with the Vikings, and if it wasn't for AP Farve would have lost them more games then won. I don't understand how fans jump on this guy's dick. He held the Packers hostage the last two years, and then decided he had to be a Viking before he finally dies, because he'll neer fully retire, just to get the packer's Mangement back for not bowing down to his greatness. Give it time, he'll find a way to undermine the Viking's strong chance to go to the superbowl.

Ha. I know.

And rudedog has the audacity to say that the other guy's arguments aren't logical. Poor sap.

Rudedog says

"I think Favre has something to say about that. Who holds all the QB records in the NFL? Manning does right? Oh, wait, it's Favre."

Favre has been in the league for, oh, 100 more years than Manning.

Great stat comparison
