Golf and Rugby should not be in the Olympics

Golf is just nonsense since like tennis the best players wont be there, everyone wants to win the US Open, not a gold medal in golf. Also Rugby should not be in the Olympics unless you put football in there as well. Its silly that some rugby player could win an Olympic medal while NFL players can't.

Golf is the game of kings, and even Jesus plays it on his day off, he even invented the handicap and the scoring system for tennnis. Have ye not a brain young squire?
Rugby was plated by the roman s in the old days, as way to get rid of the weaker warriors, and anyone that spoke in protest would have been burned.

Golf is cool because when Tiger wins we can tell the world how much better we are and how Tiger is the most famous athelte in the world because if you're famous in America you're famous everywhere, but who cares about rugby, I mean can you name me one rugby player? I can't adn we all know NFL players would dominate rugby, but wouldn't be allowed because football is not in the Olympics but should be.
And soccer is not in the Olympics as a mens sport and shouldn't be.

Are you aware of some other "sports" that are in the Olympics? Synchronized swimming, table tennis, and equestrian sports are in the games as of 2008. And you are complaining about golf and rugby? Really?

It is RUGBY 7's, normal rugby has 15 players per team on the field, 7's rugby has 7 each side and is fast paced.
Rugby was not played by Romans lol............funny though.
They are both totally different sports - American Football and Rugby. Rugby has the Rugby world Cup which is up there in world cups like top 3 and has established teams from all over the world. Bigger fan base etc.

The spirit of the olympics is competition. [well, it used to be] Golf and rugby have a place in the games. I don't see what the problem is with having them in the games. Sure would be better than watching that trampoline thing or the ribbon floor exercises...

The olympics is bloated with too many sports. Sports which have titles which are more important than an Olympic gold should not be there, because it wouldn't be the pinacle of the sport. Now that amateurism is gone why do we want the pro sports having a fun little party.
I mean, wrestling, track and field, weightlifting, gymnastics and several others take the Olympics as the ultimate in their fields.
Not so: basketball, tennis, golf, hockey, soccer, rugby.
For instance, a soccer player would trade in a dozen Olympic golds for one World Cup title.

Football is a great sport but doesent belong in the olympics Rugby and golf do, along with a bunch of other things (including lax). Plus football has little global support. It would be USA VS Cannada 4 the gold and everyone knows who would win that.

I don't see Pro football players wanting to play football in the Olympics due to the possibility of a career ending injury. I know I would be hesitant to risk injury, never mind the fact you can't squeeze that many games in two weeks.
Golf and Rugby are fine sports for the olympics.
