Im going to have to go with Dallas.........

Dallas has been on a hot streak these past couple weeks with a big win over Atlanta and a dominating win over the Seahawks. I will admit they struggled but then once the byeweek came i think that was really good for them and I belive they will continue theie success agaisnt Phili.

Not taking nothing away from Philadelphia last weeks win over Giants was very impressive however Giants were laking some players and just were going into that game week. You have to look at their embarrassing loss to Oakland. The Eagles have been very inconsistent.

Eagles are a big play offense if you shut down their young guns and take away their big plays your looking to have a good chance. I think Dallas defense will be able to shut the big plays down. And unlike Eagles, Dallas's offense pounds away at you with the run game in Marion Barber and then when they need to Tony Romo has been putting up some impressing numbers and even without main receiver Roy Williams.

Il go into more next argument

I'll take the bait and take the Eagles.

This week you have Westbrook coming back which is beneficial in every way, considering the blowout they thrust upon the Giants without him.

I still have questions with Dallas. The Eagles D will be swarming and with Samuel and Co. on D swarming, I think Romo will throw a pick or 2 this week.

With the Eagles it is a pick your poison situation, and I dont believe that the Boys will be able to shut all of them down.

This game is also in Philly, and the last time Dallas went on the road it was in Kansas City, and narrowly escaped with a 26-20 victory.

You mention the hiccup that the Eagles had against the Raiders which shouldn't have happened, but the only other team to beat the Eagles is the Saints. In all the wins this year they have been by double digits also.

While Romo is playing good ball, Its still Romo, and soon enough he will have a let down and I believe it comes on Sunday.

I think the Boys will play like they did against the Chiefs and have turnovers and sloppy play throughout but this time it won't be against a very young 0-4 team and this game will vault the Eagles to sole possession of 1st in the NFC East.

I will agree with you on the fact Cowboys played horrible against the Chiefs but the difference between the Cowboys and the Eagles is the Cowboys almost lost key word almost. Cowboys played at there worse and still won.

You saw both teams play sloppy but you saw one end up find a way to win and thats the difference Cowboys even when stuff is going horrible end up pulling it together in the end to win. Eagles are a young team and they have some good athletes like Jackson and Maclin. One again though their a big play offense and they way you beat the Cowboys is to ware them out and pound the ball not big plays.

Westbrook is coming back for the Eagles but like you said they destroyed the Giants without him when he has been playing what has he done so far? Donavon Mcnabb and the young playmakers have been the reason for their wins. They havent got their running game going yet So far they have been mostly one dimensional.

Their defense has played pretty good up to this point but the Dallas offense is dynamic when rolling. First you have to stop Barber. Then if you do that the passing attack from Romo has been really impressive.

Ok.. look what the Eagles did to the Giants pass D last week which allows 165 yards passing and 3rd in pass d, now think of that they can/will do to the 22nd pass D in Dallas allowing 237.1 per game.. Advantage Eagles. Matter of fact 4 of the teams the Cowboys have faced have 15th or worse ranked passing D including the Falcons so dont put much into that win.

Donovon was out for a while also this year, so I could also say that they are also better prepared barring injury, as players are more prepared to play.

But to the point, you speak of the big play O that the Eagles have and say that Dallas can stop it, but we are talking about the 22nd ranked total D that is giving up 342.1 ypg right?

Donovon also isn't making mistakes, 9 TD passes to 1 INT. I think that with the Philly D against the Dallas O that the D will prevail. This is also by far the best O that Dallas has seen this year when you factor in TOs and yards, and for a team thats D has been suspect against average Os, I think this may be the game where they break down. They do not have the players to keep up with Maclin, Jackson, Westbrook, McCoy, and Celek the TE who is 4th recieving TE along with Gonzo and Witten

Forfeited Turn

It was said that Philly is big play O, but if you look very closely they are very very good at what they do, meaning they spread the ball out. Celek, Jackson, and Maclin each have 3 recieving TDs or more. Also Celek is an underrated TE IMO... He has caught 37 passes for 447 yards and 3 TDs...... this tells me while the focus is on the outside receivers that Philly isn't afraid to check down and not make the mistake of forcing the ball. This will lead to less turnovers and is a reason why McNabb only has 1 INT on the year.

They also play great punt coverage, as demonstrated by a long return allowed of 26 yards, and a 5.3 ypr average, so that will help with the way Crayton has been playing in that role.

You also have to pick your poison when going against the defense, as Trent Cole has 6.5 sacks on the year so do you keep a potential reciever/tight end in to help block or and throw to a D that has 14 INTS already on the year, or do you send them out and take a chance of a sack with a D that already has 23?

When your team has a +12 turnover margin, you are sound in your game, and usually win the game.. I see Philly winning the TO margin, and the home crowd being a factor here

Not to take anything away from left's arguments. This is an even well-argued TD IMO. But 5 of those first 10 votes came from profiles that say:

The Giants on a 3 game slide, Eagles losing to the Raiders, Cowboys losing to Denver and going to OT with the Chiefs, the Skins being... the Skins. I wonder if the NFC East is still head and shoulders above the rest of the league or if they have lost there mantle.

I thought about that earlier, as far as entertaining and good head to head competition I think it is, but as a whole in overall dominance I just don't know anymore........ seems to be alot of paridy this year IMO

The NFC East is arguably weaker this season than in the past. But they do have three legitimate playoff contenders... and the Washington Redskins are no worse than the fourth best team in any other division.

The cowboys should be 7-0 if not for Tony Romo's sloppy play. He cost them the giants game giving them 21 points. He gave the broncos the win with a fumble and a pick that would have given the cowboys points. Tony's starting to get hot, and the cowboys are rolling. They beat the eagles sunday night and take over first place in the nfc east.

Little different saying a team should 7-0 when it's 5-2 than saying a team should be 7-0 when it's 0-7. Just saying ;)

After last year in Philly?!?!?! It's a nightmare venue for Romo!!!

It's a ridiculous concept any way you look at it. If you're a Dallas fan you only want to look at only the positive and claim Dallas could be 7-0. Well, Kansas City dragged Dallas into overtime, so the Cowboys could just as easily be 4-3. But what record really matters?

There is reality and then there is a dreamworld where fans live on hyperbole but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the win/loss column. If a team is losing close games that they "should have won", fans like to put a positive twist on it. But good teams find a way to win close games. The opposite is said about those who come up short.

Based on 1 game half the team missed to injury it's a "nightmare venue for Romo"? Moron.

The year before in Philly Romo went 20-25 for 324yds and 3 TDs with a 141.7 passer rating (the second highest single game passer rating of his career) in a 38-17 win.

The season Dallas went 13-3 and Philadelphia went 8-8? That was a long time ago.
