In a recent T&R section you claimed that the Bengals will lose to the Ravens. You are wrong.
The Ravens are 13th in total defense this year and are giving up 19.6 pts per game. They allow 313 yards per.
The Bengals are getting 345 yards per game (more than the Ravens allow) and are scoring 23.3 per game (more than the Ravens allow).
The Bengals have proven they can beat some good teams (Green Bay and Pittsburgh). They have a strong passing game and a solid running game. They have the balance.
Oh yes, and they beat the Ravens already. With a 3pt win over the Ravens on October 11, they proved that they can hang with and beat Baltimore!
Disagree? Tell me why you are right!

The Ravens will beat the Bengals and here is why:
First, the Ravens 4-3 record is a little misleading. They lost 3 straight games by a total of 11 points. The Bengals loss was sandwiched around a 6 point loss on the road at New England and a 2 point loss at Minnesota when they missed a FG at the end. Baltimore had that game won and let the Vikings off the hook.
Second, yes the Bengals won the first game, but they won it on the last drive, helped by a couple of VERY questionable flags on the Ravens...particularly the pass interference call that set up the winning TD pass by Palmer.
The Ravens could and I would argue SHOULD be 6-1 at the worst.
The primary reason though, that Baltimore will win is that the Raven D will come to play. The Ravens defense to a man was ticked off after allowing so many yards at Minnesota, and after a bye week they came out and completely dominated Denver' offense last week, holding them to only 200 yards.
That is a Broncos team that beat Cincinnati on the Bengals home field earlier in the year, by the way.
Look for the D to be dominant again. This will be another defensive struggle, but this time the Ravens come out on top

Well thats all well and good, but are going on a hunch. I am going on proven experience.
The Bengals offense has stats that are better than the Ravens defense.
Since the Bengals D sucks, and the Ravens O sucks (although Flacco is doing quite well) this one comes down to a wash. The Bengals won their last game by only 3, but it was a win.
It doesnt matter if they won in the last 30 secs, or hung on to a 1st quarter lead.
Winning is winning.
If you ain't first, you're last!

I'm not going on a hunch, the Ravens D by all accounts did some soul searching during the bye week and came out against Denver and played Ravens D again. Proven experience? The Ravens D crushed the previously unbeaten Broncos last week.
Not sure why you think the Ravens offense sucks. They are averaging 378 yards per game, good for 7th in the NFL. The vaunted Bengal offense that you keep referring to averages only 345 ypg. Ray Rice is on a roll, averaging 5.7 ypc in his last four games. Look for him to continue to run the ball well Sunday, which will set things up for Flacco to take advantage of the 30th ranked passing defense of the Bengals.
Furthermore, the Ravens are one of the better road teams in the NFL, going 5-3 last year with the only losses being at Indy, Pitt and the Giants. All upper echelon teams in the league. This year, they've already won at San Diego and suffered the close losses I mentioned earlier at New England and Minnesota. They'll hardly be intimidated to play at Cincinnati, and if anything will be more pumped up than usual considering how the last matchup ended.
It'll be a tight one, but the Ravens D will make the difference.

Guess we are going to find out today! Lets go JETS : J-E-T-S
Oh wait... wrong TD.
I think the Ravens are in trouble because of that offense you mentioned. They will be playing without Flacco today (the leader of that offense) because he was arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of Michael Jackson. It was found out by FBI agents that Flacco was running a high priced Call Boy service and MJ was his biggest client. Defense attorney's for Flacco will claim that MJ died from food poisoning, as he had a 5 year old wiener in his mouth when he died.
Too soon?
As of right now the Bengals are up 7-0 in the 1st.
The Ravens are down 5 men on the line (Tackles and LB's) which hurts their depth and ability to stop/start things on the line. THis will come into play, as the Bengals only have a few 3rd string offensive players missing time. Nothing that will hurt their team.

Bengals will not win. Yes the Bengals had already won once this season but i wouldn't count on a repeat. The ravens are a balanced team now, they get it done both on defense and offense and seem to be getting better as the season progresses.
The Bengals have been doing well, but I see the Ravens getting in Palmer's face and forcing him to act under heavy amounts of pressure. I can tell you that the only way the Bengals will not have a strong running game in which they have relied on and with the pressure on Palmer i see defeat. 28-17 Ravens

The Bengals did not drive the field in that last game. The refs did. Three very questionable calls gave the Bengals that game. That wont happen again.
