I am smply trying to protect our country from soccer, because once we become a soccer country, it wont be pretty.

Like the great economics Stephen Moore wrote:

"I am convinced that the ordeal of soccer teaches our kids all the wrong lessons in life. Soccer is the Marxist concept of the labor theory of value applied to sports -- which may explain why socialist nations dominate in the World Cup. The purpose of a capitalist economy is to produce the maximum output for the least amount of exertion. Soccer requires huge volumes of effort but produces no output.

What makes peewee soccer particularly insidious is that boys and girls play together. At this level, the sport has become a giant social experiment imposed upon us by the same geniuses who have put women in combat. No one seems to care much that co-ed soccer is doing irreparable harm to the psyche of America's little boys. "

Its economist not economics and I would not call him great.

First, Let us look at the Marxist dominance of world soccer

Brazil 5 Cups
Italy 4
Germany 3
Argentina 2
Uruguay 2
France 1
England 1

Funny, i do not see Soviet Union, Cuba or China up there. There are some dictatorships but not many socialists.

Another thing football has a more free market system than all North American Sports. There are no drafts in which good players are forced to crap teams, there is no salary caps, luxury taxes or franchising of players. It is much closer to a freemarket system than north american leagues.

As for teaching boys and girls to work together, almost all sports do that. Basketball players work together, football is referred to as the ultimate team sport. All team sports put an emphasis on 'TEAM'.

"Irreparable harm to the psyche of little boys"

WTF, it is teaching kids to run around and excercise, play together. What harm, they are not spending hours on end infront of TV and working towards childhood obesity.

Forfeited Turn

I guess we will not find out today why you hate soccer

Yes because all the Soccer coverage is really drowning all of the Sports News. Hell, They never even mention Football anymore because all the fans are to busy watching soccer. Maybe if everyone ignores this tool he will go away.

Well he happened to beat someone who was potentially more retarded than he is and the other two wins came by the way of inteneded forfiet immediatly after they accepted.

November 6, 2009  12:57 PM ET

I'm sure the opponents forfeited to get him the wins.....

November 6, 2009  12:59 PM ET

He just likes getting a reaction from people on the site and has found a niche topic that does the trick. Like people who talk to hear their own voice or are intentionally obnoxious to get attention.

November 6, 2009  01:21 PM ET

I don't misunderstand you bacon... I know you are an asstard

November 6, 2009  01:38 PM ET

In this TD we might finally find out why bconn dislikes soccer so much.

Soccer is socialist?

All American professional sports are monopolies that seems pretty UN-AMERICAN to me.

November 6, 2009  03:05 PM ET

good god.....this guy is an idiot--its almost as if he got those wins be making other accounts, accepting his own TD's and then forfeiting.....

November 6, 2009  04:48 PM ET

Sorry, man.... West coast and working, don't have too much time to sit on the site, so I do a lot of fly-bys. I also have no idea how to post a pic in a comment/TD. Would appreciate the help if you've got the 'secret'
