The San Antonio Spurs are THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ORIGINAL ABA TEAM SINCE THE ABA-NBA MERGER.
No other team with ABA ties comes close or can even touch the success of the Spurs. They have accumulated enough NBA Championships to be 4th on the list of Most NBA Finals Trophies. The Spurs are 1 of 2 teams to have perfect records through multiple Championship runs.
Any other former ABA Team being more successful than the Spurs just does not compute.

Extremley good argument . But I thought this Td was which team with ABA ties is the most succesful. The spurs have won 4 championships all in the NBA,17 division titles all in the NBA and they have won 4 conference titles ALL IN THE NBA. While the Spurs are a succesful team wher is the succes in the ABA? my pick is the indianna Pacers. The Pacers have 3 ABA championships,5 conference titles in the NBA, 1 in the NBA, 3 ABA division titles and 4 NBA divison titles. Unlike the Spurs who have found sucess in the NBA, the Pacers have had sucess in the ABA as well as the NBA. The Pacers have 3 players in franchise history to win Most Improved player { Jalen Rose, Jermaine O'neal and Danny Granger} while the Spurs have only 1 [ alvin Robertson]. Reggie miller who holds the all time 3 pointers made record has played for the pacers. While the Spurs are more poised for long term sucess the Pacers have had more sucess than the Spurs in the NBA and the ABA.

Before you make any further arguments, please watch this video.

The ABA has not been in existence since the merger with the NBA, which records would matter more? The Pacers glory years conceded with the Chicago Bulls run in the 90s. Success? I would more likely call it miss opportunities.
Spurs History is greater than the Pacers History in terms of success.

I guess you did not read the title correctly "The San Antonio Spurs are THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ORIGINAL ABA TEAM SINCE THE ABA-NBA MERGER." I see since the merger and since the merger, The Spurs are by far the best team, hands down. It is like saying Lebron will have a truth and rumors article every week until the end of the year and you know he will.
