Charlie Weis will be coaching the Raiders next season...

It makes too much sense not to happen


if life were fair he wouldnt have gotten that job in the first place. tom brady made him look good.

But Weis only lost 3 games his first 2 years.
His 3rd year was the bad year w/ only 3 wins, but he is 6-3 now.
All he has to do is win ONE of his last 3 and will end up with a winning record for the year and a bowl visit. (although im sure ND could go 0-12 and still get into some bowl....)


His contract runs thru 2015.
Notre Dame isnt likely to fire him yet. It would be WAY too much bad press for them. Not to mention the buyout would be huge.


I think he'll make his millions and walk away maybe in 2013. He has health issues.
But I dont see him taking a LESSER salary with a team like Oakland.

After that he interviews with the Raiders, gets signed, coaches them to a 5-11 record, drafts Jimmy Clausen.

Oakland needs a winner. Weis is garbage. If he was any good, they wouldn't keep talking about him getting fired every year...

With the huge pool of super bowl champion head coaches ready or looking to get back into the game next year, Weis ending up on the Raiders would have to be a last resort for the Raiders. Why would they go after Weis when they have Holmgren, Gruden, Cowher, etc to go after?

Because none of those coaches would be interested in coaching the Raiders! As long as Al is sinking the ship out there, they will be stuck with the "last resort" every time.
